A Drunken Secret

Prologue

They say friendship lasts forever. Rather in the military or civilian life or moving to a new neighborhood, or a new country, friendship can last a life time. Since the Separatist Crisis, which led up to the Clone Wars, the Jedi Order form an alliance with the Hidden Leaf and the Thirteenth Court Guard Squads. Many historians, who studied the Jedi, the Shinobi and the Soul Reapers, can traced the team-ups of Jedi, Shinobi & Soul Reapers long before the alliance was formed. There was two women who became close friends since their teenage years. Those two women are the fifth Hokage, Tsunade Senju, and the Lieutenant of Squad Ten, Rangiku Matsumoto.

Both of these women shared the same similarities. They both despise paperwork, they both lose someone close to them, they both drink sake, but only the best and great for the skin, & they have great beauty, despite age. Yet, after what they went through, their friendship remains strong like their alliance. Tsunade, born August 2nd, is the granddaughter of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and a member of the Hidden Leaf's famed, Legendary Sannin. In 2014, after fighting Orochimaru at Tanzaku, she became the Fifth Hokage after the death of her Sensei and Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Rangiku, born September 29th, is a Lieutenant of Squad Ten under Toshiro Hitsugaya, previously under Isshin Kurosaki, the father of Ichigo Kurosaki. After years apart from each other, in 2014, they were reunited and met up after Tsunade became Hokage. But with friendships forming, comes secrets.

In 2018, in the month of August, The Republic clashed with the Separatists, who allied themselves with the Akatsuki, at the Hidden Leaf after hearing word that the Akatsuki are hunting for the jinchūriki, and Naruto was on the list because of the Nine Tailed Fox. The Republic and the Soul Reapers arrived and countered the Separatists and the Akatsuki and in the end, with the death of Pain, the Separatists were defeated and abandon the mission to capture Naruto Uzumaki. With the Republic, the Hidden Leaf and it's Soul Reaper allies victorious in the battle. there came a task to help rebuild and move out. To help out, the Republic left Clone Troops to help with reconstruction. One fine day, At the Hidden Leaf, during reconstruction from Pain's Assault. Republic troops were sent to help the citizens of the Hidden Leaf rebuild their village, protect it and assists them on missions they will be assign to. Jedi Knight, and General, Jay Lyon, along with Jedi Commander Britt Winnwale and Jedi Sub Commander Bira Stronn, were examining the Clone Troops and Republic Battle Droids of the 76th Legion. They were accompanied by Clone Commander Jec, whose C T number is twenty seven dash eighty eight fifty two, and Female Clone Commander Sonja, whose F C T number is twenty seven dash thirty three ninety seven. During the Battle of the Hidden Leaf, the 76th's previous Jedi General, Jedi Master Nox Ginto, was killed by General Grievous. The Jedi gave the 76th to Jay with a promotion of Jedi General. He accepted the command and the promotion and have Zusho Battalion to join the 76th Legion. The Zusho Battalion was the clone unit that Jay commanded when he rescued Commander Hammer on Boz Pity. He served along them on many other missions and battles during the Clone Wars. Now, under Jay's command in the 76th, Zusho Battalion has a place to call home. Jay and his group walked up and down the line of clones and droids, checking their weapons; making sure they are in good working order. Once the examining is complete, Jay ordered the troops to be dismissed and resume their business. Once they dispersed, Jay traveled to the temporary Republic headquarters, under the command of Commander Thron of the Coruscant Guard. Helping the Coruscant Guard are troops of the 241st Battalion. During the battle, Commander Thorn was injured by Pain's Jutsu called Almighty Push, destroying the Leaf in the process. His right eye and his inhibitor chip was damaged by the blast. His right eye was replaced by a cybernetic eye and his chip was removed to prevent brain damage. Approaching the headquarters, The clones stood at attention as Jay approached and entered the headquarters. Entering a room, there were clones monitoring all com channels and mapping out locations for buildings in the Hidden Leaf. Some Clones stood back doors and corners the room, on guard and watching for any suspicion. In the center of the room, there was Captain Tukk and Commander Thorn going over plan for a couple of Hidden Jonin. Thorn has short blonde hair and an eye patch over his scar and cybernetic eye. He wore clone armor featured the distinctive red patterns of the Coruscant Guard in addition to several attachments including a black visor, an antenna on his left shoulder piece, and a kama. He also had a military officer's badge on his armor. Tukk on the other hand has short brown and blue eyes. He wore clone armor featured the distinctive teal patterns of the 241st Battalion in addition to several attachments including a brown visor, an antenna and feather on his helmet. His kama was dark gray with a teal stripe going down. He also has a brown pouch on his left and a single DC-17 Hand Blaster Pistol on his right. His belt is brown to match his visor and pouch. Thorn, upon seeing Jay, told his lieutenant to take over while he go to talk to Jay. Approaching Jay, he saluted him and Jay saluted back. "How are things?" Jay asked. "Busy, sir." Thorn replied. "Very busy. We have mapping out locations for buildings for the people of the Hidden Leaf."  "Very good." Jay said. Then, he thought about the war and how are the Jedi fairing. "What the news from the front?" Jay asked, concerned for his master, Jedi Master Mace Windu. "There are a few minor skirmishes, sir." He replied. "No major battle yet. But, we will keep you and the other Jedi posted." "Great." Jay said, relief. Then, Jay began to leave to check on the reconstruction of the Hidden Leaf. Before he could, he was stopped by Thorn. "Sir." He began "How is Lady Hokage and is she okay?" Jay could sensed he is concerned for Lady Tsunade. During the battle, after Pain unleashed his jutsu and after the Republic and Soul Reapers arrived, Tsunade transfers all of her chakra to Katsuyu to use in keeping the villagers safe. When the dust clears, she found the village gone. She confronts the Six Paths of Pain and General Grievous and vows to personally defeat them. One of the Pains, named Shuradō, attacks her, which Naruto, newly returned, destroys in order to save her. Naruto asks Tsunade to trust Pain's defeat to him and has Gamakichi take Tsunade to Sakura. Having done all that she can and with her chakra gone, Tsunade's youthful transformation fades and she falls into a coma. So far, she hasn't regain consciousness since then. "She is still in a coma." Jay said. "The chakra she transferred to Katsuyu took a lot out of her. But, she will pull through. I know she will." Deep down, Jay was worried for her too. As for his sisters, his clone unit and his militia family, he cared for those around. During his time on Earth, after the Clone Wars started, Jay became more open. He cared deeply for his sisters, his parents, his master and his 1st militia family. As a Jedi, he was taught to care for those around him. The Jedi are selfless and cared for others unlike the Sith who are selfish and thought about themselves. During one of his missions with the 1st Pennsylvania, he found love. Her name was Mollbry Meylfall. They agreed to a relationship and not to let it get involve of their missions and their roles as Jedi. He patted Thorn on the shoulder and left without another word.

Jay soon entered the encampment that temporary housed the Villagers of The Hidden Leaf. As he walked around, he saw kids playing and having fun, people talking among themselves, clones, American Troops and Republic Droids on patrol & people entertaining people to get their minds off the battle and damage that Pain and the Separatists caused. He soon stopped and looked at a tent where the unconscious Lady Tsunade is housed. As he gazes at the tent, he could sense a great deal of sadness inside. Both Sakura and Shizune were tending to Tsunade until she wakes up. "If only we have gotten to the Leaf sooner." He thought, reminding him of 1st's effort to rush to the Leaf before it was too late. The 1st Pennsylvania Militia, formed in 2017 by U.S. Army General John Lyons, to which Jay belonged to, was away on a mission from the Hidden Leaf when the Akatsuki and Separatists began their assault. Rushing back to the village, they arrived too late to find the village destroyed. To pay the Akatsuki and Separatists back, The 1st joined the Republic and Soul Reapers in a counter attack and sent the Separatists running and the death of Pain. At first, the attempted to go in and see her. But, froze; for a notion got in the way. He could not bear to see Lady Fifth in her condition. Instead, he left to see his comrades of the 1st Pennsylvania. Before departing, he got one last look at the tent. "Get well soon, Lady Fifth." He said in his mind. And with that, he was off.

Along the way, he heard the sound of laughter coming from the woods. Going in the look where the laughter is coming from, he saw his good friend, Jaysuki Lyonsaki, his sister, Alex Lyon, the love of his love, Mollbry Meylfall, his apprentice, Britt Winnwale, and a group of Clones talking under the shade of the trees. They were listening to Jaysuki about his adventures with the 1st at Gracey Mansion and Thunder Mesa. He heard Jaysuki telling them of the time he and his comrades went up against an evil Phantom and his Confederate Zombie Army. As he listened in, he felt someone or something around him. Could it be an assassin? A incoming attack? or Dooku coming to attack? Then, someone dropped behind Jay. Looking behind, he saw it was his young sister, Keeve Lyon, hanging upside down and giving him the infamous Unohana smile. "Why, hello brother dear." She said, trying to imitate Unohana. "What brings you out this far?" "Just walking around." Jay said, not amused with Keeve's joke. Keeve jumped down and, giving a normal smile, placed her hand on her big brother's shoulder said "Come on, bro. It's just a little fun, ya know." "Yo." Came a voice. That voice came from First Sergeant Jaysuki Lyonsaki, who's story was interrupted due to Keeve and Jay. "What's going on?" "Just a little joke from my little sister." Jay replied, placing his hand on Keeve's head. "Sorry, friend." "It's all good, buddy." Then, one of the female clones of the 501st, who has two reddish-brown rectangular stripes hairstyle, asked "I heard you defeated a demon and his warriors while protecting a priestess. what happened after the mission to the Land of Ogres?" "After the mission..." Jaysuki began "Martin Matthias was berated by both Lady Hokage and Master Kandra for what he did to Shion." During the mission, Martin lost his temper with her. He slapped her over the death of her friend and protector named Taruho. He tried to kill her after having a selfish attitude towards everyone, believing that she was far more important than anyone as shown by her lack of care for anyone around her, even her dedicated followers. Many tried to stop him, including those of the 104th Battalion. He temporary left and returned after having some sense knocked into him. His actions got him suspended him from combat and time away from the militia, which he did and came back a new man. "Then after a few weeks of rest, Master Kandra asked Jay and I out for drinks." Jay, upon hearing the words 'out for drinks', rushed forward and covered Jaysuki's mouth before he could continue. "Jaysuki!" He angrily whispered. "What the hell are you doing?! You can't tell anyone about what Tsunade and Rangiku did! We promised! Have you forgotten?!" That action left Alex, Mollbry, Britt and the clones confused. "Something wrong, General?" Like a shot, Jay looked at everyone. He looked like he just seen a ghost. Removing his hand from Jaysuki's mouth, Jay quickly stood at attention and gave a smile. It was a little, nervous smile. "It's...It's nothing." Jay quickly replied. "It's nothing at all, Private; nothing at all" "Jay, be serious." Mollbry chimed in "What are you and Jaysuki hiding?" "Yes, master." Britt said "You two can tell us." Both men looked at each other and back at the group. Knowing they can't hide it any longer, they admit defeat. "Okay..." Jay began, resighed. "We will tell you what we are hiding. BUT, this CAN'T go any further. None of you can't tell anyone; NOT A SOUL."  "We won't tell anyone, sir." Said a Clone Sergeant of the 501st. All of the clones nodded and agreed not to tell. Alex, Mollbry, Britt and Keeve agreed as well. "Great." Jay said. "Both Jaysuki and I will tell you. But, remember, This goes no further."

As the sun shown across the bright blue sky, Jay and Jaysuki began their tale. A drunken secret from that night of April 2018.
