music for focus/productivity :
Mynoise is a website that offered a variety of music and sounds for things like depression, adhd, calming your stressed pets, focus, sleep and more ! i've been recently using their sleep and focus music a lot!
they have a variety of noises all for free, including white noise.
you can also listen to kpop instrumentals but be careful because you might end up dancing and singing then studying.
another place to find focus music is youtube! there are many great channels that offer lofi music or study music and one of my favourites is quietquest
quietquest is a channel that offers long videos (3 hours +) of calming music for relaxation, sleep and focus with relaxing nature backgrounds.
there's also way more channels out there such as:
- the bootleg boy
- corgi chilling
- lofi girl
- bears chillhop
and more, all you have to do is search 'study music' or 'lofi music' and you'll get these results.
you can also find some of these channels on spotify such as lofi girl !
study techniques :
five second rule :
this technique will help you get through procrastination! "5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1 , Go!" and once the counting ends, get up and go do what you need to do
do things as soon as you feel an impulse to do them. rn, i'm feeling an impulse to publish a new chapter for this book so instead of procrastinating, here am i typing away
remember, after the mental push must come physical action like getting yourself off your bed and walking toward your desk !
feynman technique:
step 1: study the material/write notes
step 2: teach it to someone or pretend to teach it. teach them like your teaching a child. because only when you can simplify the topic into laymen's terms, then only you truly understand the topic.
