Chapter 01: Ren Chu, Someone Wants to Pursue You

It's been two months since the start of the school year, and the freshman students are still in a highly excited state. They've just escaped the stress of their senior year, and at least for the next six months, they want to enjoy themselves before getting back into study mode.

Lu Wanwan finds herself being approached by several upperclassmen on the street, inviting her to join various clubs. There are athletic clubs like swimming, fencing, table tennis, basketball, and soccer, as well as more artistic options like the newspaper club, magazine club, and book club. However, none of these clubs interest Lu Wanwan. In the end, she decides to approach the Student Union and applies to create a new club – a baking club. She gets the necessary signatures from various leaders and quickly becomes acquainted with them.

When Lu Wanwan went to meet them, she didn't go empty-handed. She brought her specialty cookies and gave everyone a sample to taste, as the club she established was a baking club.

When Lu Wanwan received this WeChat message, she was shopping online for ingredients, planning to make some green tea cranberry cookies. The moment she saw the message, she felt like her iron tree had finally blossomed. She excitedly let out a scream, almost falling from her bunk bed.

Luckily, her roommate Gu Qiao was standing by the bed and quickly pushed her back.

"Did you win the lottery?" Gu Qiao asked.

Lu Wanwan climbed down from the upper bunk in a hurry, grabbed Gu Qiao's arm, and spun around, saying, "An Jiaxian asked me out! Today marks the two-week anniversary of us 'building diplomatic relations'! He must be planning to confess to me!"

Although she made Gu Qiao a bit dizzy with all the spinning, as Lu Wanwan's high school classmate and best friend, Gu Qiao was genuinely happy for her. "It's finally bearing fruit. I thought you two were going to silently admire each other forever. When you see him tonight, if he's still being shy and can't get a word out, just push him down. You'll be together!" Gu Qiao said boldly.

"Well... I'm not so sure about that," Lu Wanwan said, though deep down, she thought, "Gu Qiao really knows the dirty thoughts in my heart."

"It's great! Hurry up and take a shower, wash your hair, okay? You're the campus belle now, after all!" Gu Qiao insisted.

Lu Wanwan rolled her eyes. "You know very well how I became the campus belle! Besides, I washed my hair just yesterday. I'm a very 'Five Emphases, Four Beauties, Three Loves' kind of person, you know!"

With that, she headed to the bathroom.

In the dorm room, the other two roommates, Xiao Xiao and Liu Xinyi, happened to return at that moment. Both of them were holding banners and flowers, wearing sweet smiles on their faces, and exuding pink heart-shaped bubbles all over.

"Did you go to cheer for Ren Chu? There's a table tennis competition today," Gu Qiao asked knowingly.

Xiao Xiao vigorously nodded, as if she were back at the competition venue. She put her hands on her chest, looking starstruck, and said, "He's so handsome! Ren Chu won another championship. He really should join the provincial team and then make it to the national team, and go to the Olympics!"
