~ Chapter Two: New Beginning's ~

"A-anyway!, I'm just going to strap you to the provided seat so I can do some final checks on your upgrades and such" He spoke, entering the chamber and adjusting the straps that were placed at the side of the seat, I silently followed his movement, with suspicion

"Alright!, we'll start with your voice box he said, leaving the chamber and sitting down in front of a small console attached to the chamber, I nodded slightly, unsure on how he would do that, he next thing I notice is a weird machine appear next to me, my eyes widened clearly concerned

" No Worries Rocker!, they're just a little machine that can help us take not of any problems that may be present" he reassured me, I nodded "Great!, could you show us your highest note please?" he asked, I didn't know what he meant, but for some reason I sang a high note, I was shocked that I could produce such a high note, I couldn't sing that high in the old place

"Beautiful!, we knew allowing you to have an amazing singing voice would pay off!" the mechanic spoke, checking something off his board "Now how about you hit us with your lowest note" again I complied, the checks went on, they then asked me to sing a song of there choosing which I did, although I never heard of said song before, but what they said next shocked me!

" Amazing, your vocal cords are in perfect condition, however there is more to your voice box than you realise" he spoke "And what is that Rocker?" I replied almost instantly "You have the ability to hit...harder songs" he trailed off "Harder songs like what?" I asked concerned 

"Well um, your voice box also allows you to distort your vocals so you can perform more heavy songs such as...metal and screamo? I think that's what they're called" The man pondered, obviously only use to the 'Golden ear' music genres

"Awesome!, should I try it out?!" I asked eagerly, for some reason I felt happy knowing I could do something other than singing 'normal' songs 

" Sure...James could you play a song of that genre for her please?" the man asked and James nodded, playing a song with a heavy set of drums and guitars with intense vocals I didn't think I was capable of doing back at the old pizzeria, but for some reason I recognised the song and 'sang' the vocals, screaming and growling, I honestly felt so badass to be able to distort my vocal cords to preform growls and vocals cords I never heard before 

"Hell yeah!, that was awesome Rocker" James gleamed

"Yes, very well done!" Kev responded massaging his temples at the intense sounds he just heard" before continuing " Ok so Vocal box check is complete!, tell me can you look to your left for me please?" Kev asked to which i complied by looking to my left, then to my right, then down and up just as he asked 

" Great!, just one more physical test and you're part cleared" Kev confirmed

" Alright Rocker!, what can I do for ya" I responded

" Truth be told!, you were also created with the ability to play the drums!, so I just need to test a few things with your wrists" he entered the chamber again and unbuckled the leather straps holding me down, allowing me to sit up, he gently reached for my hands and examined them thoroughly before handing me a pair of drum sticks

"Show us how it's done Rockstar!" Kev encouraged and so I sat up, moving my legs to both sides to make room so I could drum the surface of the chair and I did just that, although they weren't drums and I've never in my life played the drums, I was able to create a solid rhythm with the chair and the glass and side panels of the chambers, I smiled I felt so joyous playing an instrument.

" That's great Rocker!, the physicals are done, I just need to ask you a few questions and then we're done!" Kev spoke up, interrupting my thoughts while I tapped away with the sticks, instantly stopping my beat. Kev gently took back the drumming sticks reassuring me that I have my own special pair before proceeding with the questions
