WHEN RYLEE HAD SHOW UP IN THE TOWER, she was in absolute awe. she was so surprised at how big this place was, "holy fucking shit. the place is amazing."

nicole just smiled at the girl, "yeah. yet again, i heard bruce got this for original titans, and he does have enough money to make this happen." she turns around and she sees alexa's father, jacob chilling in the main room, "oh, hi!"

and he had stood up and was a little clumsy with getting up, "hey!" he said that a little too loud for her his liking, and when he stood up straight and approached the mills, "i'm jacob shipman, alexa's dad."

and she just shakes his hand, "i'm sam's mom, nicole. pleasure to meet you."

and rylee was just standing next to them, "ok, you both know each other now, that's great." and she notices the way the two were looking at one another and she decides to cut in, "jacob, sir. have you seen your daughter?"

"she went into her room." he breaks eye contact from the mills to focus his attention on the harper when the topic of alexa was brought up, "her and her friends got into an argument about this kid that got kidnapped by dr. light earlier this evening. i think his name is, jason?"

"lovely." rylee had deadpanned and pushed the two older adults out of her way and had searched the room for which one alexa could be at. and luckily, she didn't have to search long, seeing her door wide open as the girl is on her bed with puffy eyes, "hey there." and she had approached her and sitting on the bed, "your dad told me about what happened with jason. i am sorry, i mean, you've spent three months in the same place together, i'm not surprised you two would've became friends at this point. and it's okay to worry about a friend."

and the young shipman sniffled, not making eye contact with rylee, "he's not just a friend." and she proceeds to be more specific, "the past few weeks, we've been sneaking around behind dick's back and sleeping together. but uh, i've been feeling something real with him, and i don't know if he feels the same. and i'm afraid of opening up my heart if it's gonna end badly." and she sat up from her bed to look at rylee directly in the eyes, and the older girl noticed tears streaming down her face, "and now, with this whole situation with him being kidnapped because the adults never seem to give him a chance to he took me and gar to go check out the train tunnels to find dr. light as a chance to prove to dick that he's helpful. and i'm just really fucking terrified, and now, gar and rachel are fighting, everything is falling apart and it's all so fucked."

rylee wasn't exactly good at peptalks, or being the best person to seek advice from, but when she knows someone she cares about is like this, she hugs them. mostly because she did read online that this is because it releases endorphins, which makes hugs and touch seen as rewarding. she didn't say anything but just soothed her. then, nicole and jacob were in the doorway, looking at the two of them.
