The next morning rolled around and Danny was sound asleep, snoring away in dreamland. Suddenly, his alarm clock went off, startling him into falling off the bed. Groaning in pain, he untangles himself from the sheets and turns off his alarm clock. Once he got dressed, he ran his fingers through his golden locks before grabbing his stuff and opening the door, slightly surprised to see his sister standing in the doorway

"Luna, what are you doing here?" Danny rubbed the sleep from his eyes

"Still not a morning person, I see." Luna chuckled

"Don't start with me, it's far too early." Danny yawned

"I've decided to take a mental health day. Between school and working two jobs, I've never really had the time to take care of myself. Fortunately, that ends today." Luna sat on the bed

"Do you have any plans?" Danny asks

"Mm, no. I figured I'd hang out with you, if that's okay." Luna says

"I would love that." Danny placed his hand on top of hers

"Alright, then. Let's get a move on! I didn't have time to stop for breakfast, so I'm kinda hungry. Any suggestions?" Luna clapped

"I suggest ordering takeout. The food here is disgusting." Danny smiled

"Yep! Still as charming as ever, little brother." Luna threw her arm around him, lying her head on his shoulder while they walked out of the room

Stopping at the top of the stairwell, Danny's eyes roam through the crowded hallway, triggering his anxiety a little bit. Once his sister grabbed ahold of his hand, he snapped back to reality, giving her a small smile before squeezing her hand, allowing a wave of comfort to wash over him

"I seriously hate it here." Danny sighs, maneuvering his way through the halls with his hand still holding onto his sister's

"It can't be that bad." Luna nudged him

"Of course you would say that, you're not in my shoes." Danny twisted his foot around

"Regardless, I'm always going to try and look out for you." Luna whispered

"I know you will. Besides, you're right. It's not all bad." Danny chuckled

"Mm, I know that tone." Luna smirked

"Shut up." Danny muttered

Luna followed her brother's gaze, which was directed towards Ryder, who was leaning against the wall reading the hunger games

"Is that the boy you told me about yesterday?!" Luna squealed

"Yeah, that's him. That's Ryder." Danny blushed

"It looks like I'm not the only one in this family who has exquisite taste." Luna cackled

"Oh my gosh, shut up! You're embarrassing me." Danny whispered

"Until you've experienced embarrassment first hand, you'll never know what it's like." Luna says

"Oh my gosh, he's coming over! What do I do?" Danny panicked

"Just be yourself." Luna shoved him

Ryder kept his focus on Danny, trying his best to hold back a smile once he took in his appearance. His golden locks were in a disheveled state and his tie was undone. Nonetheless, he still looked adorable

"Hi, Danny." Ryder greeted

"Hi, Ryder." Danny giggled

"Oh, I almost forgot! You left this in my room the other day, I just wanted to return it." Ryder rummaged through his bag, pulling out a blue beanie and holding it out in front of him
