"Not very well." Nessa sighs

"How's Jazz holding up?" Chasity asks

"He's a bit shaken up, but I know Billy will take good care of him." Nessa answers

"No matter what, I'll always be here for you. Anytime you want to talk, just come by. Okay?" Charity squeezed her hand

"I got you." Nessa nodded

While the girls were talking, Nadine was in her room singing along to songs from one of her favorite movies, hairspray. Lexy sprung up in the bed, unable to fall back asleep after a gut wrenching nightmare clouded her mind. Once Nadine took notice, she paused the movie and slipped on her kitty cat slippers before rushing over to Lexy's bedside

"Are you okay?" Nadine asks

"I just had a really bad nightmare." Lexy buried her face in her hands

"Would you like me to sing you a lullaby? Whenever I had a nightmare, my mom would sing me to sleep. Either that or she would make me a plate of chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk on the side." Nadine says

"No, thank you." Lexy shook her head

"Would you like some breakfast? That might cheer you up." Nadine asks

"I am kinda hungry." Lexy rubbed her stomach

"Let's get going, then!" Nadine shrieked

While the girls were getting ready, Devon was sound asleep, wrapped up in his comforter like a burrito. Suddenly, Jake bursts into his room, slowly climbing on the bed before straddling him. Letting out a chuckle, he places multiple kisses on his lover's face until he wakes up, dazed and confused about what's going on

"Jake, what are you doing?" Devon asks

"Good morning, sleepyhead." Jake lied his head on his chest

"What time is it?" Devon asks

"A few minutes past 7, it's still early." Jake answered

"There's this thing, it's called knocking." Devon frowned

"Very funny." Jake giggled

"I'm serious." Devon says

Devon rolled over on his side, mindlessly staring into his boyfriend's brown eyes before running his fingers through his curls

"Do you remember when I told you that I wanted to run away?" Jake asks

"Yeah." Devon nods

"The only reason I decided against it was because of you. Honestly, you were the only person who didn't treat me like shit. You understood what it was like to lose a parent, you sympathized with me." Jake caressed his cheek

"I would never make fun of someone, that's not who I am. Besides, you looked like you needed someone to talk to." Devon says

"When Junior caught us talking, he got so mad." Jake rolled his eyes

"I didn't need his permission to talk to people. Honestly, I thought you were pretty interesting, especially for an emo boy." Devon says

"Oh my gosh, don't go there." Jake laughed

Devon caressed his cheek and leaned forward, gently pressing his lips against his lover's, who instantly melted into the kiss

"I love you, Jake." Devon whispered

"I love you more, Devon." Jake blushed

"That's not possible." Devon smiled

"It could be." Jake pressed their heads together
