Female lead's POV-

"Beta you go inside, I'll just come," Mom said.

We're standing outside Madhu aunty's (her sister's) flat. Everything is sorted now, at least I feel everything's sorted. Entrances are next week, I have got a lot to prepare. I can't let down my maa, my stepmom, her sister and the lady who'll be paying for my education.

Flashback

"You want her to live with you? Why?" My father grumbled making me shiver.

"I'm getting old so I want a helper so thought of-" Madhu aunty stammered.

"Why do you think I'd give you my 24*7 maid and showpiece."

I can't bear it anymore.

Enough
It's okay
You're used to it.

It's okay
You're used to it.

"It's good only na, Aarav will get his room," mom said.

"Did I ask for your opinion?" Father shouted.

"I'm so-"

"Shutup"

"She won't go outside unnecessarily. There are some rules she needs to follow even if she's at your place. If she tries to break them, like her mother. I'd break her legs and will kill both of you." He said pointing towards mom and Madhu aunty who just nodded in response.

"I've done that before as well, I won't mind repeating it."

I hate how he accepts it so openly and shamelessly.

I hate how I'm blood-related to this person.

Fathers are protectors of the family and mine himself destroyed our happy family.

Fathers are providers, mine snatched my only source of happiness, my father.

"Now look at her, always trying to gain sympathy by crying." My father's voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I wiped my tears harshly.

"Leave. I don't wanna see your face." Father said.

I stepped out of my house that was once my home, praying to never come back here again.

Flashback ends

"Hi," I noticed a woman.

correction - over-excited woman

"Namaste" I smiled looking at her.

"You're so pretty," she said patting my head.

"You look beautiful too"

"By birth" she winked.

Her nature somehow reminded me of Ahaan.

Everything reminds you of him.
Is this love?

Maybe

"Beta why are you not eating anything?" She said eating her dhokla.

"I'm not hungry."

"Oh girls and their figure" she laughed. I just smiled.

"What do you want to pursue?" She asked.

"Economics honours."

"Oh, that's great. Madhu, can I take her to my home?" She asked.

"If she's okay with it." Madhu aunty replied.

"My son has some great notes. He has some help books too, which will help you for entrances. If you want you can come with me, I'll give you his books."

"Okay aunty"

We reached her place after 1 hour and oh boy, it was a fucking villa surrounded by a garden.

It's so beautiful and well-maintained.

"Come inside" she said opening the main gate.

"My son has gone for further education in New York, you can take all his books, just don't mark anything with a pen, he gets very mad when someone does that."

"I won't."

We reached her son's room and she led me to a small study room attached to it.

Is she in the mafia group or something?

They're so freaking rich.

There's a fucking library in this room.

Oh god, this is so much.

"You can take any book you want." She said as she noticed me drooling over the library.

"Will your son be okay with it?"

"Who will tell him?" She laughed.

"Thank you so much aunty"

"You don't need to thank."

"Aunty?" I heard a male voice.

"Yes Rohan."

"You're a witness that I've returned all 3 books of Ahaan." Aunty laughed.

Ahaan?
Is this Ahaan's home?

I quickly turned to the other side so Rohan wouldn't notice me.

"Who's she?"

"Oh, she's my friend's daughter, the one I told you about."

"Oh hii" he said and I turned to say hello.

"Antipriya?????" He was so shocked.

I was too.

I used to think that my meeting with Ahaan was a coincidence.
But now I feel like it's destined.
