Start from the beginning

Akemi's eyes fluttered close as
he suckled eagerly, his tiny hands
grabbing at nothing particular as
his daddy gently stroked over
the soft hair.

"Can you please behave so well
when you're with your mommy?
He's so scared that he's doing
everything wrong but he's actually
the best. And he loves you so much,
kitten. So show him that you
love him too, hm?"

Minho chuckled when his son tugged
slightly on his daddy's shirt, unhappy
that the bottle was almost empty.

Another thing that worked a lot
better with bottle feeding was
that Akemi drank a lot faster.

He used to take forever when
Jisung had breastfed him but now
he mostly didn't even take twenty
minutes until the bottle was empty.

"You're such a good eater, bub.
Can you give me a nice burp now?
Then we can go back to bed."

But the tiny boy only yawned cutely
just like his squirrel mommy when
Minho stood up and carefully lifted
him up so he could readjust
him in his arms.

He gently patted his baby's back
as he walked back to the kitchen
to fill the bottle with water, again
Dori following him quietly.

"You're so cute, kitten.
I could kiss your precious
squishy cheeks all day."

He chuckled when Akemi burped
and lifted the tiny boy over his
head so he could place some
pecks on the baby's cheeks.

But now that his tummy was full
with warm milk, all the little one
wanted was to sleep so instead of
enjoying his daddy's affection,
he only whined unhappily.

"Are you annoying our kitten
with your love again? It's nearly
three in the morning, let him sleep."

A very sleepy Jisung waddled in
the living room, his brown hair
fluffy and tousled and his light
pink shirt reaching to his mid-thighs.

"Mommy will bring you safely
back to your bed, bub."

He carefully took their son from
his husband and placed a peck on
Minho's lips when he was
about to complain.

And tiny Akemi immediately snuggled
his face against his mommy's chest,
sighing contently when Jisung
hugged him close and pressed
a kiss on his head.

He was almost asleep when they
reached the bedroom and only
sniffled softly when his mommy
carefully laid him down in his
bassinet, covered him with his
blanket and pecked his
forehead gently.

"Sweet dreams, kitten."

Jisung smiled sleepily as he
stroked his finger over his son's
chubby cheek and placed the
small jaguar plushie closer to
his baby so Akemi had something
to hold on while he slept.

And he couldn't help but sigh
softly when he felt two arms getting
wrapped around his waist.

"Let's go back to bed, love."

Minho whispered as he rested his
chin on his husband's shoulder so
he could watch their son sleep too.

"Min?"

"Hm?"

"I love him so much.
I know I'm saying many things
that seem like I don't but..
I really love him, it's just so
difficult sometimes."

"It's okay, Sungie.
I never doubted your love for him.
Of course it's not easy but we're not
perfect, right? We're just humans
too, we're first time parents. It's
normal to be overwhelmed and
to sometimes not know why he's
crying. I have these moments too,
I just deal with them differently, hm?
But when I look at him, when I see
him sleeping so peacefully like this,
it reminds me that every hardship
is absolutely worth it.
Because he's our tiny kitten.
And because I love him
more than anything."

The ravenette smiled and kissed
his husband's neck when Jisung
turned in his hold to hug him
tightly, burying his face in
the older's chest.

"Let's go back to bed, my love.
We both need as much sleep
as we can get, hm?"
