a/n: i know this piece of worldbuilding is very minor and irrelivent to the story but i wanna share it anyway bc i'm happy with it lol
Dragons are reptiles and therefore cannot process milk and milk-based products - they can consume it in small amounts but will get sick or even die if they consume too much. Because of this, milk and dairy are a rarity in the market and very expensive. It is only ever eaten as an occasional treat amongst the very wealthy. These treats consist of raw milk, cream with fruit, soft cheese and iced cream. Iced cream is the most expensive as not only does it require a specific process to make it and is only ever made in the North, but it is also the most addictive. A scoop of iced cream is served in a small bowl, usually with honey and/or fruit. Dragons have died from being addicted to iced cream, so it is only ever served on very special occasions.
