"Baby."
My eyes flutter open feeling multiple kisses on my cheek. "I fell asleep?" I groaned and he chuckles. "You did."
"Rewind it one more time, I'ma stay up this time."
"You've said that twice, we'll watch it tonight. Don't worry." He said kissing my shoulder.
"I feel bad. I'm sorry, this week has been a lot." I sighed.
"Talk to me." He said wrapping his arms around me interlocking our fingers.
"It's such an adjustment getting out of bed and going to the warehouse. Sometimes I'm still running on E. I know the reward in the end is gonna be worth it but I'm really tired, I'm not gonna lie." I admit as he listens intently.
He hums grabbing my phone off the nightstand unlocking it and dialing a number. "Who are you calling?" I mumbled drifting off again when his thumb dances back and forth on my arm.
"Shhh, relax." He said soothingly.
"Hello?"
"Hey, wassup Kendra?" He said and my eyes open.
"Hey Devin, what's up?"
"Aye, Noah's not gon' be able to come in today. She needs a break."
"I completely understand. She's been working real hard this week trying to get everything in order." She explains and I smile lazily.
"Yeah, you can handle everything today right?" He asked.
"Of course, I got her. No worries at all."
"You're a life saver, Ken." I mumbled and she laughs. "Get your rest, boss."
He bids her goodbye and puts my phone back on the stand. After a few seconds, I hear a notification. I peek my eyes open glancing at my phone.
Devin Booker sent you $2000.
"Don't tell me you want me to take it back either. The answer is no." He whispered into my neck.
"I love you."
He smiles placing a kiss on my cheek. "I love you too, baby."
"Now come on." He said letting go of me.
I turn around furrowing my eyebrows seeing him lay on his back. "Where are we going?"
"Back to sleep." He said placing my head on his chest pulling the blanket over us.
I smile rubbing his chest placing a kiss on it. "Sounds great to me."
"And whenever you wake up, I'm taking you out." He said turning the tv down as my eyes flutter closed.
