April started to laugh, until she realised no one else was.
“Uh oh. Stranger Danger. Psychotic stranger danger.” She muttered, backing away.
The two ‘Psychotic Strangers’  stared at her as she moved towards the door.
The hooded figure sighed, and with a snap of his fingers, the doors shut with a loud bang, followed by a click of a lock. April cursed.
“Just let me out of here.” She begged, to no one in particular. “I seriously don’t want to be stuck in this place, kidnapped by some maniac people.”
Yolanda rolled her eyes, which April didn’t know she could do, as an android.
“Girl, I know this might be a lot to process, but who did you think your mother was?”
April stopped, thinking about it. She never really wanted to know. Her father told her that her mother was kind to him and a select few, but horrible to many others, and that she had been poisoned at a young age.
"Have you ever even seen her?" The hooded figure asked.
"Of course! She had black hair, blue eyes. Pale skin."
Yolanda giggled.
"That lady is your half-sister's parents! She died from a car crash… Your father was devastated."
April covered her mouth with her hand, feeling bad for her father. How hard it must have been, to keep that a secret from all of them, but even knowing this was probably to protect her, she couldn’t help but be angry, assuming these people were telling the truth… Which they most likely were not. Perhaps they seemed genuine, but April wouldn't be fooled.
“Yeah, I'm not gonna listen to crazy people,” She mumbled. “Take me home. Now.”
“Unbelievable. We finally found her, but she’s nothing like we imagined,” Yolanda said, with a disappointed tone. “How is this proof for you?” She took her portphone, showing April an image of Ex-Queen Channary holding baby April in her hands, Henry next to her.
“Whoever edited this deserves a reward.” April said, refusing to believe it. The hooded figure threw his hands in the air, letting out a strangled noise.
“Think Nainsi was wrong? Cause I certainly am starting to. No way a girl this stubborn is the daughter of Channary.” Yolanda asked.
“Wait- Nainsi? The royal android?” April asked, dumbfounded.
“NAINSI!!!!” The hooded figure yelled. Nainsi came strolling in.
“Um. Yeah. I’m dreaming. “ April declared, pinching herself, then flinching from the pain.
“Nevermind.”
“Shall I summon Emperor Kai and Empress Cinder, your highness??” Nainsi asked, completely ignoring April, who kept getting surprised at the use of your highness, my prince, and your majesty towards the hooded figure.
The possible ‘prince’ nodded. April couldn’t help but feel a bit giddy. She might meet the people she read about!
After a few moments, two people ran in, panting, as April gaped, awed.
Empress Cinder was doing the same, but to April. Emperor Kai had his arm around his wife.
“Y-Your m-majesties,” April stammered, curtsying.
“If I could cry, I would,” Empress Cinder whispered softly. “It isn’t everyday you meet a half-sister you never knew about.”
“B-But I’m not- I can’t be- No…” April muttered. The empress rushed to hug her, causing April to freeze in shock.
“I know it’s hard. You must be feeling what I felt when I discovered I was Princess Selene, but it will be fine. Trust me. Prince Alexander Hernandez will take care of you.”
“WAIT. I’m sorry, Hernandez? As in, your father is Levi Hernandez? WHAT is happening here? Has EVERYONE I have EVER known been lying to me? Does anyone else have a big revelation? Because now is the damn time!” April shrieked.
“Yes, my father is King Levi Hernandez of Prejima, an unknown kingdom to those who don’t live in it. And since you asked, I’m cursed.” Alexander shrugged. April demanded to know what his curse was.
Apparently, he was cursed to die once the time limit on a huge sand timer ran out, unless he found true love. He had gotten this curse because his mother had cut a deal with an enchantress to ensure the safety of her family, but did not fulfill her end, which was to kill her first child. Alexander said he was ready to leave this world, to which everyone snorted.
“All due respect, you have three months left. Don’t be such a depressed prince.” Emperor Kai said. April felt her heart sink, feeling a little bit guilty for calling Alexander and Yolanda crazy minutes ago. Empress Cinder nodded, agreeing with her husband.
Nainsi finally chose to add something to the conversation, informing them that something strange had come up, regarding the subject of the Lunar Revolution, which April didn’t know about.
“Oh no.. I really don’t want to go to war…” Yolanda murmured, with a worried expression, causing Cinder to wince.
War?!?” April cried, then ran over everything she had just learned. It was too much for a five minute talking session, so she did something she wasn’t even embarrassed to admit, given the circumstances. She fainted.
