Alex and I decided it would be best if we broke up. I brought up the fact that I'm young compared to Alex, who is 19, and that he is just now starting his life, and I don't want to hold him back. It took a long time to convince Alex that it was a good idea, but it finally worked. I still love him, and he still loves me, but I just didn't want to get in the way. We decided that we will still remain good friends, and that our previous relationship will not get in the way. We will not think of each other as 'ex-girlfriend' or 'ex-boyfriend', and that we will leave the past in the past.
