it's been 2 weeks since char and isaiah's 3 month anniversary. 2 weeks since he told her he loved her; 2 weeks since she admitted she finally loved someone again.
and isaiah has been distant than ever.
"i don't get it! did i do something wrong saying i loved him back? should i not have said it?" she groaned, falling onto the bed next to lia.
"you didn't do anything wrong, char." lia comforted. "he's a guy. that's what they do. it's literally why i'm a lesbian."
"can they just not do that!" she stammered, annoyed.
"nope." lia shrugged.
"i actually want to cry." she buried her face in her hands. "shit never works out for me."
"charlotte!" lia gasped, wrapping her arm around her shoulders. "nuh uh, you're not crying over a guy."
"it's not over a guy." she reasoned, "it's isaiah."
"you want me to talk to him?" she asked, rubbing her shoulder. "i took karate for like 3 years."
"no thanks." char shook her head. "i'll be fine. we'll be fine."
