Moka glanced at the door, her concern deepening. "Who could that be?"
Kenji approached the door cautiously, his senses keenly attuned to any signs of danger. With a swift motion, he swung the door open to reveal a panicked Kurumu on the other side.
"Kenji, Moka, something's happening!" Kurumu's voice trembled with fear. "There's chaos outside—the streets are in turmoil."
Kenji's jaw tightened as he took in Kurumu's words. "Chaos? What's causing it?"
Kurumu's expression was grim. "It's Isamu. He's attacking, and he's not alone."
Moka's eyes widened, and her voice held a note of urgency. "We need to get out there and help."
Kenji nodded in agreement, his determination resolute. "Right. Let's go."
As they hurried out of the room, Yukari followed closely behind. The chaos outside was undeniable—the streets were filled with panicked cries, and the sound of destruction echoed through the air.
Kenji, Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari pushed through the chaos that engulfed the streets, their determination unwavering as they moved toward the source of the turmoil. The city's once-familiar scenery was marred by destruction, and the weight of urgency hung heavily in the air.
As they made their way through the debris-strewn streets, their pace quickened. The sense of unease heightened, and the anticipation of the confrontation with Isamu intensified.
Finally, they reached a clearing where the chaos seemed to be concentrated. There, standing amidst the wreckage, was Isamu. His presence exuded an aura of power and malevolence, and his cold gaze locked onto the approaching group.
Isamu's lips curled into a sinister smile as he welcomed them. "Ah, Kenji. How have you been faring since the last time we crossed paths? I trust Akira's attack left quite an impression on you."
Kenji's own expression remained calm, his confidence unwavering. "I've gotten much better since then, Isamu. Stronger and more determined."
Isamu's chuckle was devoid of warmth. "That's amusing. Let's see if you can back up your words."
The air was charged with tension as Isamu's words hung in the air, a precursor to the impending clash between power and determination. Moka's eyes blazed with resolve, Kurumu's stance reflected her readiness for battle, and Yukari's fingers twitched, poised to channel her magic if the need arose.
Kenji's focus remained unyielding as he addressed Isamu. "We're here to stop you, Isamu, whatever it takes."
Isamu's sinister smile deepened, his eyes glinting with a mixture of amusement and disdain. "Very well, then. Let's not waste any more time."
With a sudden movement, Isamu vanished from where he stood, reappearing right in front of Kenji. His speed had increased, a testament to his improved skills. Kenji's reflexes kicked in, and he countered the surprise attack with a swift kick that sent Isamu hurtling backward to the spot he had just occupied.
Isamu's form shifted as he regained his footing, his expression a mix of surprise and acknowledgment. "You have indeed gotten better."
As Isamu's words lingered in the air, a new disruption shattered the tense atmosphere. Out of nowhere, Gin materialized, his appearance as unexpected as it was timely. With a swift and powerful kick, he sent Isamu tumbling even further away from the group.
"Sorry I'm late, guys," Gin's chuckle was laced with his usual mischievousness.
Kenji's gaze shifted from Gin to Isamu, his determination unwavering. "Glad you could make it, Gin."
Isamu rose to his feet, his gaze narrowing as he surveyed the assembled group. His tone was laced with cold determination. "This changes nothing. I'll eliminate you, Kenji Nakamura."
The confrontation had escalated to a new level as Isamu's red aura enveloped his form, a foreboding sign of the power he was about to unleash. Kenji, Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari remained poised, their eyes locked onto Isamu's every move.
Isamu's form blurred as he moved with incredible speed, catching both Kenji and Gin within the grasp of a teleportation spell. In an instant, the world around them twisted and morphed, and when the disorienting sensation faded, Kenji and Gin found themselves in a desolate wasteland—surrounded by an expanse of nothingness that seemed to stretch on indefinitely.
Kenji's voice held a mix of confusion and frustration. "Where the hell are we, Gin?"
Gin's shoulders shrugged in response, his expression equally uncertain. "Beats me. This place gives me the creeps."
Before they could process their surroundings further, a presence manifested behind them. Isamu's voice resonated through the empty space, his tone dripping with a sinister satisfaction. "I had planned on finishing you, Kenji, but this turn of events works out just fine. I'll take pleasure in ending both of you right now."
Kenji's fists clenched as he turned to face Isamu, his determination unwavering. "We won't make it easy for you, Isamu."
Gin's lips curled into a smirk. "Yeah, you've got two tough opponents on your hands."
Isamu's red aura flared, and his gaze bore into them with an intensity that sent a shiver down their spines. The wasteland provided no escape, and their enemy's power was undeniable. As the air grew heavy with anticipation, Kenji and Gin readied themselves for a battle that could very well determine the fate of their world.
