Chapter 18

The next morning, I woke up with a smile on my face. I stood up and walked towards the window to admire the view. I smiled at myself which fainted as I watched an owl approaching my window really fast. As my defense, I fell to the ground and the pour bird came crashing to my window, breaking it and falling to the ground. I kneeled next to her and took her in my arms 

Y/n: Oh you poor thing

I said petting her head gently and checking for any injuries but fortunately, he was okay. He left a note in my hand and then made himself comfortable in my lap. I smiled when I saw my name written on the note and my smile became even wider when I realized whose handwriting it was. It was Percy's!

Good morning Y/n,

            I hope you slept well because we returned pretty late back to our dorms and words can't explain how much I want to see you! Perhaps we could play some more chess later, so I would be able to beat your ass this time

I smiled at it before I kissed it and put it in my pocket. It wasn't a dream! It was real! All of it was real, everything that happened yesterday was true! Percy and I were indeed together! But he will never beat me in chess, not in his wildest dreams. I picked up the small owl from my lap and gave her a treat that I had on my bedside table for Astra. I walked towards the broken window and let her fly to the sky after I ensured that he was okay. I took my wand and made the broken window in a matter of seconds.

I changed into my robe, picked up a book, and walked toward the common room. Which was empty because of how early it was, and I walked up to my brother who was sitting on one of the sofa's reading too. I sat next to him with a smile on my face

Y/n: Good morning Draco

I said with a smile on my face, and he looked at me with a weird look on his face. Because he knows that when I wake up really early in the morning, I am always in a mood and start growling like a baby until I have my morning coffee. Don't judge people because I definitely know some of you can relate to me

Draco: Why are you so happy this early in the morning?

He asked looking at me confused, and I gave him an innocent smile

Y/n: I don't know, I am just happy to be alive with everything that is going on in Hogwarts

Of course, he didn't buy my excuse and still looked at me with curiosity. I opened the book that I had brought with me from my bedroom and started reading like nothing ever happened

Draco: I just hope a certain Weasley isn't responsible for it because you know Y/n that father won't approve of it. He doesn't approve of your friendship with Granger, and you think he will approve of you messing around with a Weasley 

He said, closing his book and putting it on his lap. I knew that he only wanted the best for me, but he needed to know that I was able to choose for myself, not caring what my father will think of it

Y/n: It won't hurt him if he doesn't find out. So don't you dare mention any of your theories 

I said not looking at him and pretending that I was reading just to hide the blush on my cheeks when he mentioned Percy
