Chapter 16

I exited Ginny's dorm as quietly as I could and then walked to the common room. The Gryffindor common room was smaller than the Slytherin one and had more paintings than we had. One more difference that they had was that the Gryffindor common room was red and had ghosts just wandering around from here and there. We didn't have that in the Slytherin common room because some students got annoyed by them. I on the other hand found the ghosts of the castle fascinating, and I remember in my first year with Ruby watched in awe how Nearly Headless Nick played and explained to us his death the night of Halloween.

I found Percy sitting at one of the big sofas, half asleep with his face resting in his hand. I went up to him and gently shook his shoulder to wake him up.

Y/n: I don't think this is the right place to sleep

I said in a low voice like a whisper not to fully wake him, and he looked up at me with sleepy eyes and smiled at me before he nodded. He stood up yawning and walked towards his dorm, I went to leave the common room before he talked to me again 

Percy: Sweet dreams Y/n

He said, and I felt my cheeks blush before I turned to him with a smile.

Y/n: You too ginger

I said, and he smiled at me before he entered his dorm. I left the Gryffindor common room with a smile on my face and headed toward mine. When I entered, the common room was empty and there was really quiet. Then I headed to my dorm and all the girls were asleep, except Ruby who was reading a book waiting for me. She obviously wanted to learn the tea of the day like crazy, and she couldn't sleep. When she saw me she immediately closed her book and I went and sat on her bed 

Y/n: You were right! I like Percy Weasley

I said whispering with a smile on my face, and she started clapping silently. She was so excited that the way she jumped on her bed, almost woke up one of our roommates

Ruby: Yes, I knew it! Did you guys finally kiss?

She asked, whispering, and I nodded negatively

Y/n: No but almost again

I said, standing up and removing my Slytherin robe 

Ruby: Tell me everything 

She said putting the book on her bedside table waiting for me to tell her what happened like a little child who is waiting for Christmas morning to come, so they could open their presents.

Y/n: I will tell you in the morning because it is 2 am 

I said, desperately wanting to fall asleep, but she rolled her eyes 

Ruby: Please, I beg you! I can't wait till the morning

She said, literally begging me to tell her, but I just ignored her and went to the bathroom to change into my pyjamas and remove the mascara. I looked at myself in the mirror and then smiled. I really did like Percy, and I cannot believe that it took me so long to figure it out. Most specifically six entire years, but that didn't matter because now I knew! But the real question is, does he like me the same, or I am just daydreaming about something that may never come true? It looked like I will just have to wait and see. When I returned to my bed, Ruby had already fallen asleep, and I smiled before I lied on the bed next to her and closed my eyes.

*OTHER POV*

In the Gryffindor Tower, Percy Weasley was sitting on his bed and telling his best friend Oliver everything that happened that night. He has never been this happy before and fell on his bed with a huge smile o his face 

Percy: Do you think she likes me?

He said whispering to his best friend who laughed at his question silently
