Daniel Marlowe

Daniel jerked awake, breathing heavily and looking around him and examining the somewhat-familiar surroundings. The thunder outside must have disturbed him yet again, for the umpteenth time tonight. Daniel yelped in surprise as a bright flash of light burst through the window of his room, followed a few seconds later by a loud, deep rumble that vibrated some nicknacks on the shelf attached to the baby-blue wall that Mr. Lassalle had set up there, for whatever reason. Daniel didn't understand it, but hadn't cared enough to ask.

Turning his head to glance out of the window, confusion set in when Daniel realized it was early morning; looking down at the small night stand at the digital clock, it was barely seven a.m. The clouds were simply so heavy this morning that they blotted what would usually be early morning rays of sun, depending on the time of year. "Stupid storms," Daniel muttered under his breath, letting out a sigh of frustration; he hadn't gotten hardly any sleep last night due to it.

Getting dressed in the usual--a gray pair of shorts with a tux, and a white undershirt with tan bow, combined with a basic black pair of shoes--Daniel made his way into Mr. Lassalle's kitchen to find himself something to eat. It seemed odd that Mr. Lassalle would take a wolf that wasn't his into his home, even to Daniel; he didn't understand why, but didn't dare to question it.

The other two wolves, a silver pelt and a brown pelt, didn't seem to understand it either. Daniel had heard them asking Mr. Lassalle in passing why he'd bring another wolf into the mix, at least one with a more long-term placement in their home, and Mr. Lassalle had simply shrugged and explained that he was juggling with the idea of possibly buying a third wolf, now that his training services were kicking off and he had a bit of extra money for it. Lucas didn't seem to like the idea, while Jackson had seemed indifferent about it, but neither of them complained.

As he opened the fridge to find something to eat--Mr. Lassalle had practically told Daniel to make himself at 'home' while not in a training session, with obvious restrictions of course--he opened up yesterday's leftovers, he sat down to eat and then realized something was off. Now that he thought of it, Mr. Lassalle and his two pets were usually awake and active this time of the day, yet Daniel couldn't even hear any of them at all, and their scent was old.

Daniel didn't have much time to dwell on it before he heard a familiar car noise roll up, a couple of familiar voices chuckling outside and then the door across from the kitchen practically slammed open and the familiar faces of Mr. Lassalle, Lucas, and Jackson wandered in; Lucas looked a tad excited, and Jackson looked like he wasn't very happy about the arrangement. Daniel tilted his head to the side as he noticed they were followed by another wolf with a blank expression; judging by his gray hair and pale skin, he must be a gray pelt.

As the new wolf wandered in, glancing around the very open-concept home, Daniel noticed he had very light freckles dotting the curves of his cheeks, blue eyes that were a lighter shade than Lucas' own, and his hair was neatly trimmed. It wasn't long, but it wasn't a buzz cut either. He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans and had a tiny diamond earring in each ear lobe; yellow diamonds, with gold prongs holding them in place. As the wolf drew closer, Daniel also noticed that the earrings were not single diamond pieces, but quadruple pieces; each earring had four small diamonds in them.

Daniel simply minded his business and went back to eating his sandwich, when Mr. Lassalle spoke up once the four of them had shuffled into the living room, turning around to face the other three wolves, mainly the new one. "Welcome home, Nico," Mr. Lassalle cooed, with a mischievous expression that Daniel knew all-too-well. "Feel free to grab a snack, and look around. Don't bother looking for your bedroom, you'll share one with me." Mr. Lassalle let out a light, quick chuckle as he continued, wrapping an arm around Lucas and Jackson who both shared Mr. Lassalle's previous mischievous grin, "Oh! These two pretties and I will be in our room if you need us, but... if you have any particular questions, ask Danny. I expect you to find us when you're finished looking around." He explained, turning to walk away.
