Tábor, Czech Republic, 2060
The air is chilly yet the sun was out. A small family just arrived for vacation and are quite happy to be there. They strolled through the streets of Tábor, a town located in Czech Republic. The family were cheerful walking down the streets and buying souvenirs, food, bracelets and loads more. Their day was going fine until they heard it. The sirens. Something was happening though, they didn't know what. They took shelter in a nearby café which was crowded with people. They managed to fit in but it was cramped. Suddenly, they saw people walking sluggishly along the streets, they seemed to be hurt and bleeding but they weren't in pain or in any form of discomfort. They seemed empty. As if they weren't alive.
Screams filled the streets as people ran away from the dead-like people. Horror and fright filled the atmosphere as people started to get bitten or eaten alive by the living dead. The café froze. They didn't say a word. They held their breath waiting for something to happen. When the windows broke they all screamed out of fear. The living dead got to them. The family rushed out of the café and into a hotel which seemed to be safe. Well, it seemed safe. Afterall, they couldn't be so sure yet they hid in one of the rooms unaware of the horrific creature Waiting for them. The room was nice, there was a king-sized bed with a small wooden table at the side. On the table was a lamp and a book, the book seemed to belong to the owner of the room. Quite stupid of them to leave the door open. There was a big window with big, grey curtains covering half of it, leaving a small gap in the middle where the sun shone through. Like normal hotel rooms, there was a TV. it was a flat screen TV not too big but not too small. There was a bathroom like normal. The white tiles were strangely covered in blood. The toilet lid was on the floor and the mirror was smashed into thousands of peices. Other than the bathroom, everything was normal. No signs of the undead anywhere.
The family locked the door and huddled up together. They heard a noise that seemed like a growl. It was, in fact, a growl. They turned around and met gazes with the undead. The undeads eyes were a clouded red colour. It launched at the father who was bitten by it and now one of them too. Next was the mother, she was bitten but it took a solid minute for her to transform. The little girl ran with all her might. Despite her being a little kid, she was more faster and quieter than the dead. She ran into the hotels basement. Luckily, there was food, water and blankets there so she should be able to stay there for about a month.
Three days passed, the little girl was still alone in the basement. She was fed well enough and she didn't look hurt or anything. She was safe In there. She slept calmly until she was woken up by knocks on the basement door. She jolted awake as her eyes darted to the door, all she could wonder was who's knocking on the door.
"Open the door, I'm here to save you. Trust me."
The little girl hesitated to open the door but she opened it anyway. A man who looked to be in his early 30's stood outside the door. He had a military uniform on which looked a bit grazed. The man wore a black balaclava so only his dark blue eyes could be seen.
"My name is Karl Somval, I'm an ex-military Luitendent. I'm also here to bring you to a bunker better than a hotels basement."
The little girl looked at him reluctantly,
"You're... here to save me?" She asked.
Karl nodded and offered her a hand. The little girl took his hand and they both made their way outside. The air was chill like before, the sun was out leaving a warm feeling on their bodies.
"Before we leave, what is your name?" Karl asked the girl.
"My name is Elen, Elen Smithson.."
