Despite his reservations, he waved back and put on a fake smile as Vivian approached him.

"Hey, Kyo! Long time no see!" Vivian greeted him with an overly enthusiastic tone.

"Hey, Vivian. And yeah-sure. Three hours is definitely a long time." Kyojuro replied, trying to maintain a polite demeanor.

Vivian seemed unfazed by his slightly distant response and continued to chat animatedly with him. She spoke about various topics, seemingly eager to catch up with him.

Internally, Kyojuro couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable with the attention Vivian was giving him.

He had noticed her hovering around him more frequently lately, and he couldn't shake the feeling that she was trying to get closer to him.

As they exchanged pleasantries, Kyojuro tried to steer the conversation away from anything too personal or intimate.

He didn't want to lead Vivian on or give her any false impressions.

In the back of his mind, thoughts of (Y/N) resurfaced, reminding him of the connection they shared.

He found himself wanting to be honest and true to his feelings, even amidst the presence of Vivian.

As Kyojuro politely excused himself, hoping to create some distance from Vivian, he was caught off guard when she insisted on joining him.

"Uh, well, I'm just going to be doing some grading," he tried to explain, but Vivian was already following him.

"I see! I'm looking for my cousin-" Vivian claimed. "So I might as well follow you."

Kyojuro felt annoyed by the situation, but he didn't want to be rude to Vivian. He sighed inwardly and decided to let her tag along, even though he'd much rather be alone.

As they walked together, Vivian kept talking, but Kyojuro's mind was elsewhere.

He found it challenging to focus on her words, as his thoughts kept drifting to (Y/N) and Elias walking together, laughing.

Seeing (Y/N) and Elias sharing a moment of joy ignited a mix of emotions within him.

His blood boiled with a sense of jealousy and possessiveness that he hadn't felt before. He clenched his fists unconsciously, trying to suppress these feelings.

He knew he had no right to feel this way; (Y/N) was free to be friends with anyone she wanted. But he couldn't help the pang of jealousy that washed over him at the sight of them together.

As Vivian saw Elias and (Y/N) together, she called out to her cousin, and Elias greeted her with a smile. "Elias, there you are!"

"Oh, Vivian." Elias greeted, "What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean?" Vivian asked, "I'm picking you up."

Elias chuckled and then reminded her, "Oh, I told you I was going to walk home with (Y/N) today." He playfully nudged (Y/N), who was absorbed in her phone.

Kyojuro was surprised to hear this, and he couldn't help but wonder why Elias and (Y/N) were walking home together.

The sight of them being close brought back the jealousy he was trying to suppress earlier.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Kyojuro asked, "Why are you two walking together?"

(Y/N) looked up from her phone and smiled at Kyojuro. "Oh, Nee-San is going to be home late today, and we're going to pick up some stuff from the grocery for dinner," she explained.

Elias nodded in agreement, adding, "Yeah, we decided to go together to save time since we live nearby."

Kyojuro tried to mask the mix of emotions he was feeling.

On one hand, he was relieved that there was a legitimate reason for (Y/N) and Elias to be walking together. On the other hand, he couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to be the one by (Y/N)'s side.

Trying to stay composed, Kyojuro smiled at them both. "Ah, I see. That makes sense then."

(Y/N) noticed the hint of tension in his voice and expression, and she gave him a concerned look. "Is everything okay, Kyojuro-Sensei?"

Kyojuro quickly shook his head, not wanting to burden her with his feelings. "Yeah, everything's fine. Just grading some papers, you know how it is."

(Y/N) smiled understandingly, but she could sense that there was something more to Kyojuro's response. Nevertheless, she didn't push further, respecting his privacy.

Even Kamisama himself didn't know what came over this woman-But Vivian then wrapped her arms around Kyojuro in a playful manner, and he was taken aback by the sudden closeness.

"Uh, Vivian, what are you doing?" he asked, slightly uncomfortable with the unexpected physical contact.

Vivian giggled and glanced at Elias and (Y/N). "You know, Elias and (Y/N) look like a cute couple," she complimented with a mischievous smile.

Vivian then turned her attention back to Kyojuro, her tone slightly flirtatious as she added, "I hope one day we could be as close as they are."

Kyojuro's eyes widened in surprise at her statement. He wasn't expecting her to say something like that, and he didn't know how to respond.

He felt a mix of discomfort and unease, especially with (Y/N) right there beside them.

(Y/N) also fell silent, her eyes wide in bemusement. She wasn't sure how to react to Vivian's comment either, especially considering her own feelings for Kyojuro.

Trying to ease the tension, Elias jumped in, "Oh, I'm sure you and Kyojuro can be great friends too. If you'd stop obsessing over him." Elias grumbled the last sentence.

Vivian laughed, seemingly oblivious to the awkward atmosphere she had created. "Yeah, I hope so!" she replied cheerfully.

"Uh, Elias?" (Y/N) shifted uncomfortably, "We should go now."
