Nothing was consistent. Sometimes everything would be alright, and the very next moment it would take a sharp turn and become worse.
It was a usual day at school, and you were expecting it to be like yesterday when everything was good, when no one eyed you weirdly, when you started to believe that people were forgetting about everything that they had heard and had probably seen. But it didn't last.
You were sitting in the cafeteria waiting for Jimin when a familiar sound made you snap your head in its direction.
"Hey, Y/N?" Yerin spoke from behind you. She had graduated school two months ago.
She had come to the cafe with some other girlfriends of hers. You had not really been in touch with her after that trip. It was just a simple wave of hands whenever you crossed paths in hallways or saw each other in the cafeteria. It was just that, nothing more. And the fact that she had graduated school meant that you had no touch at all.
"Hi! It's been long. How are you?" You greeted her as she took a seat across you.
"I'm doing well. I.. well I don't know if it's the right time. I just saw you and thought that I should ask you." She said with a little hesitation.
"No, it's alright. Go ahead." You gave her a green signal.
"I actually heard about something. I mean something about you. Were you together with Jungkook?" She asked you, and you had a little idea where that conversation was going. It was the thing you had been dreading.
"Yeah! For a while. But we broke up some months back." You answered her, praying that she wouldn't ask anything further.
"Oh! Sorry to hear that." She pressed her lips together. "Well, I was just asking if you.. did you send him any p-pictures?" She stuttered a little at the last word, sounding as if she didn't want to ask. You were wondering why she was asking all that to you in the first place.
"No," you tried to sound calm, and the fact that a good number of months had passed certainly helped you, "I guess you heard the rumour too."
What else were you supposed to say? You'd been saying that to everyone who had asked you. Agreeing to it wasn't the best option. Well, at least not for you.
"Ah, I knew it was that. I am glad it isn't true." You weren't sure if she was speaking the truth and that if she had seen the pictures but was acting as if she believed it was a rumour as well.
"Yes, me too." You said while wishing for Jimin to come so that you could excuse yourself and get out of that situation.
"I should get going. My friends are waiting." She said as she got up, and you believed that luck was on your side, finally, after a long while.
"Sure. It was nice meeting you." You smiled once she was out of her seat.
"Likewise." She said as she left and you sighed in relief.
The fact that everyone knew about everything, you were getting kind of used to it. You didn't know if it was a right thing, but it did seem right for the time.
Most of the people had stopped eyeing you weirdly, and asking you ridiculous questions.

You laid awake on your bed. It was an hour past midnight, and you couldn't sleep. Your mind wandered to the possible reasons why Jungkook thought it was you. That was the one thing that you couldn't get out of your head no matter what you did. You needed an answer to that before you'd go insane. And Jungkook certainly had some real concrete background to that if he didn't listen to Jimin even once.
