As the morning sun gently awakens me, I glance at the clock and see that it's 6:32 AM.
With the start of a new day, I decide to rise and begin my morning routine. I gather my shower essentials from my suitcase, which has clothes and items scattered messily on the floor placed on the motel floor.
Careful not to disturb my snoring brother and father, I make my way into the bathroom. Stepping into the shower, I relish in the comforting embrace of the warm water. Once I finish my shower, I decide to make a pot of coffee for my dad and brother.
As the aroma fills the air, I hear my dad stirring and stretching. He follows the scent, a warm smile on his face, and expresses his gratitude. "Good morning, An'. Thank you for making me coffee. I'll be working on the house all day today, and it should be finished by tomorrow!" he says warmly.
Dad takes a sip from his coffee mug before setting it down to prepare for the day. Meanwhile, I find a moment of tranquility as I sit down and open the notebook that my brother, Coven, got me for my birthday last year. I begin to journal, capturing my thoughts and experiences as the day unfolds

As soon as I closed my notebook, my dad emerged from the bathroom, looking more awake than he did a few minutes ago. "Okay, kid, I gotta go now," he said, making his way towards the door.
"Oh, and remember to get out today with Covey and explore. I left some money for dinner on the bedside table. Bye, An'!" He walked over to Covey, waking him up to say goodbye. "Bye, Covey. I'm going to go finish the house. Be good!" My dad said before leaving the motel we were staying at while our new house was being finished.
"Covey, come on. Wake up! We're going out for breakfast!" I said, gently shaking my groggy brother awake. "Why so early?" Covey groaned, covering his face with the blanket he had wrapped around himself.
Slowly, he got up and dragged himself out of bed to get dressed. He took his clothes to the washroom, while I stayed in the bedroom getting ready.
I opted for a pair of baggy cargo jeans, a gray cropped tank top, and a touch of mascara. "Let's go!" my brother exclaimed, bolting out the door, excited about getting some food.
"Who knew a 19-year-old boy could be so childish," I quietly chuckled to myself as I got into his car.
Once we arrived at the diner, Covey swiftly opened the car door and headed towards the entrance. He kindly held the door open for me.
"Thank you," I said, receiving a nod from Covey. "Welcome to Lilah's Diner. I'm Elijah. What can I get you?" A boy with shaggy, chin-length ginger hair greeted us. He appeared to be around my age, tall, and slightly muscular. His green eyes and slightly freckled face made my panties drop.
He was undeniably sexy, so I decided to be nicer than usual. "Hi, umm, can I just get two omelets with waters?" I replied, feeling a little nervous.
"Yeah, sure. Can I get a name for that order?" Elijah asked, looking into my eyes.
