An Imperfect Couple Pt. 2

No One P.O.V

Yuma and Ray were walking around the school festival for any suspicious activity from the Barians, but so far, nothing. While walking around, Yuma also ate a lot of different foods like caramel coated noodles, takoyaki, yakisoba noodles and other goodies

"Time for dessert, I'd love a syrup sundae! Any stands around?" Yuma asked as he looked for a stand

"Hey, Yuma, don't you have more important things to do right now than to keep eating?" Ray asked as he reminded him of their mission

"Yeah, now that you mention it. I'd like to drink a milkshake!" Yuma said and Ray sighed

"Yuma..." Astral called him

"What Astral?" Yuma asked

"I have noticed you have a capacity in ingest  far more food and drink than the average human" Astral pointed out

"Yeah, I guess I... I guess I'm hungrier than most people" Yuma said

"Or perhaps your stomach simply enjoys the exercise" Astral said

"Yeah, that could be it too" Yuma said

"Hey, Yuma!"  Yuma saw Anna in the school's uniform

"Anna! What's with the getup?" Yuma asked looking confused

"Ha ha! I just enrolled as student here. And now that I'm officially part of the school, I can enter the Couples Duel with you" Anna said

"You and me?" Yuma asked looking dumbfounded

"Don't disappoint me, Yuma... or else!" Anna said as aimed her rocket blaster at him

"Put down the blaster, Anna! Okay, we're a team!" Yuma said

Aoi P.O.V

After finishing the play, I headed to the changing rooms to change back into my uniform and I saw both Cathy and Tori, and Tori looked angry

"Hey Tori, Cathy. What's going on?" I asked

"We're about to start looking for Anna! She took my uniform so she could pose as a student to enter the Couples Duel with Yuma!" Tori said

"She won't get away with this!" Both Tori and Cathy said as they both left the changing room still wearing their costumes

"Anna's here? Who is she? And what about her taking part of a Couples Duel? Maybe I'll check it out after I change out of my costume" I said as I head to my locker to change into my uniform and undoing my hair. But I couldn't stop thinking about Nash who played as Romeo, who is he and where did he disappear to

After changing, I went to the area where the duel is taking place

When I got there, I saw Ray, Cathy and Tori

"Hey, guys. Did the duel start yet?" I asked

"Nope. You made it right on time" Ray said

"So, is that girl Anna?" I asked

"Yep, and she's the one who took my uniform!" Tori said

"And now she's dueling with Yuma!" Cathy said

"I see..." I said with a sweatdrop and the duel started

After the duel, Yuma and Anna came out victorious. But I'm curious on where Yuma got a Barian Rank-Up card from and how he didn't fall under the control of the Barians. I glanced at Astral, and he looked very concerned too

'I bet he's wondering how Yuma got those Barian Rank-Up cards, question is, who gave him that card' I thought

Then Tori dragged Anna back to the changing room

No One P.O.V Sunset

"So you're not gonna give up on dueling?" Anna asked

"Not a chance! I love dueling far too much to ever think of quitting!" Brook said

"I was wrong" Anna said

"Yes and no" Brook said and Anna looked confused "I'm not quitting, just taking a little break"

"You're not sick, are you?" Anna asked looking concerned

"I'm fine. I'm just taking a break from Pro Circuit to focus more on what I love, teaching" Brook said

"I'm sorry, Brook. I was angry at all this time for nothing" Anna apologized and Brook placed her hand on Anna's shoulder

"I would have explained, but when the duel started, there really wasn't time. You know, once I finally do return to dueling, the four of us should have a friendly rematch" Brook suggested and Anna looked happy

"That'd be great!" Anna said and Brook spun Anna around to face where Yuma is

"Well then, you better go tell your boyfriend of yours!" Brook said as she gently pushed Anna towards Yuma, but they both ended up falling down the stairs

'I hope they're okay' Aoi thought looking worried

"There you are!" Rio shouted as she ran towards Aoi

"Rio? Something wrong?" Aoi asked

"Come on! You're supposed to end the festival with a song!" Rio said and Aoi looked shocked

"Huh?! I don't remembering agreeing to something like that!" Aoi shouted

"Of course you didn't. That's why I volunteered you" Rio said and Aoi looked shocked "So let's go!" Rio grabbed Aoi's hand and dragged her to where the stage is

When they got to backstage, Rio fixed Aoi's hair by putting it in the same style for the play, when Rio finished, she added some blush on Aoi's cheeks and put the microphone headset on her head

"All right, you're good to go. Go wow the crowd" Rio said as she pushed Aoi to the stage

'Geez. Why did Rio even sign me for something I didn't want to take part in' Aoi asked her feeling nervous

"Go Aoi!" Aoi looked towards the crowd and saw her friends

"You got this, Aoi!"

"Show everyone your amazing singing!"

"Guys..." Aoi was about to start crying, but stopped herself. She took a deep breath and let it out

"Relax, and things will be okay" Aoi turned her head and saw Shark on stage with her including the band. Aoi nodded and after calming down for a moment, she looked at the crowd and started to sing

After her performance, the crowd went wild with cheers. Aoi felt happy that everyone loved the performance. When Aoi left the stage, Aoi was tackled into a hug

"That was amazing, Aoi!" Rio said

"T-Thanks, Rio" Aoi said

"You should perform more often" Shark said

"Maybe every once in awhile..." Aoi said with her cheeks still red

With the performance finished, the school festival came to an end too

When everyone went their separate ways, in shadows, a figure was staring at Yuma and Astral with a wicked look and disappears
