Chapter 23 "Torpe"

Vlanca's POV

When I opened my eyes the first thing I saw was the bright light above me. But the first thing I heard was my brother and two other feminine voices.

"You know how complicated her condition is. Hindi siya pwedeng biglain kundi baka tuluyan na siyang mawala sainyo."

"But she eventually has to know. I don't want to lose her." The other feminine voice said.

"You'll lose her sooner kapag ginawa mo ang gusto mo, Val." My brother said.

'Val? Who's she?'

'Miss Valencia?'

Why are they talking like that?

The room got quiet and when it did I don't know if I lost consciousness or went back to sleep.

The second time I woke up I heard someone call my name.

"Vlanca? Milaya? Okay, ka na ba?" Vier asked when I fully opened my eyes.

"Vier?"

"HALA! Oh my dear Vlanca nakalimutan mo naba ako." He put his hand on his mouth and acted like he was crying.

"How many times do I have to tell you don't call me Vlanca it's Milaya." I said annoyed.

My dad calls me Vlanca so I hate that name even though it's mine.

They all went quiet for a second and their expression changed.

"U-uhm I'll go call Zathrian and tell them you're awake." Tanya smiled and exited the room.

Lumapit naman saakin si Vier at parang maiiyak nga talaga.

"V-vlan- I mean Milaya, can I hug you please?" He asked now seated in my bed.

I nodded at him and he immediately wrapped his hands around me.

"I miss you." He whispered.

"What do you mean Vier, Palagi kaya tayong nagkikita." I questioned.

Bago pa siya makasagot ay biglang bumukas ang pintuan.

"Zathrian! Hi kuya!" I smiled at him widely

'I feel different today like I'm a different person.'

Bumitaw si Vier saakin at si Kuya Zathrian naman ang yumakap saakin.

"Я скучаю по твоей, сестре." He said.

"Oo nalang."

After that ay nagpabili si Zathrian ng pagkain kasi nagreklamo along gutom na ako. My friends were all there or I could say my family was all there.

Tanya, Vier, and my Brother were there. We were laughing about a joke Vier made when the door opened. Miss Elle entered first then came in Miss Amory.

"Hi, Vlanca!" I frowned and then Zathrian coughed.

"Uhm, MILAYA, gusto mo pa beh." Sadiyang nilakasan ni Vier ang boses niya nang banggitin ang pangalan ko.

I nodded then he put some more food on my plate.

"Milaya, Flowers for you!" Miss Elle enthusiastically said.

"Kanino po galing?" I asked.

"Ah wait tignan ko." Pinaikot ikot niya ang bulaklak para makita kung may nakalagay kung kanino galing. "Ay eto, Torpe." She even squinted her eyes to look closely.

Nakita ko namang kinurot siya sa tagiliran ni Miss Amory kaya napatalon siya sa sakit.

"ARAY!" She shouted and held her side.

We laughed at her kasi mukang masakit talaga mangurot si Miss Amory.

"Eto na eto nanga! To Milaya, From Lovie."

"Shala may pa Lovie ka pa ha." Sabi ni Vier.

"Eh wala naman po akong kilalang Lovie eh." I said confused while scraching my head.

"Dont think nalang baka sumakit pa ulo mo." Sabi ni Tanya.

Binigay saakin ni Miss elle ang boquet ng red roses.

"Wag ka makinig kay Tanya beh mas masakit pag walang ulo."

"Miss kain po kayo." I offered

We ate that afternoon, my hospital room was filled with laughter and smiles. I felt confused though but i dont know why but i didnt think of it much because i was to distracted by the people I'm with to think too much
