This is my first story so if I can do anything to change it in the future please tell me in the comments!

(Ireland pov)

It was a rainy day in September,which was usually the case in the British Isles.I stood at the entrance to the school,seeing my bully England stand at the door talking to his girlfriend france. I was actually on good terms with france,we would often sit together at lunch.i decided that the only way I wouldn't be caught staring at England was if I walked past him quickly.France saw me coming and shifted herself so that she was facing me,England with his back to me.I shot her a quick thank you look which she returned a'your welcome'.. I walked into the school,but England saw me passing as france shifted again to block me,he lunged at me grabbing me by my tie and turned me to face him. 'Hello Celty' he said in a loud and booming voice. I sighed.Celty was my mothers nickname to englands father.they had been close at some time before she died.There was no point fighting with him.'Hello England' I said quietly. France decided it was her time to step in and told England the teacher was coming.Surely enough Mr.EU walked over looking down at England. I could have sworn I saw him gulp. Eu sighed.'Go to class England and leave your classmates alone.' He said in a loud voice which he often used to restore his authority.'Yes sir!' England said,looking quite scared indeed. Mr.EU turned to me,and asked if everything was OK. I replied with my usual words of yes.EU has been around me to long to know I was lying.He just sighed.'go to class Ireland' he replied.I nodded,not wanting to get on his bad side.

As I sat in class,I got a Hello from Germany,Italy,spain,Portugal,Denmark,Norway and Sweeden.I got a hug from Lithuania,ukraine,Poland,Estonia and France.I got indifference from England and Russia per usual.Mr.EU walked into the class,looking disheveled.He had probably just broken up a fight,like he would usually do.USA and Mexico did not get on well. EU sat at his desk and welcomed us back to a new school year.Mr.EU started talking about something but I had zoned out quite far into my own head.I felt light-headed from the rain.i thought of what I would do if I got assigned homework,and decided I would go to school when I was 18. I was called back to reality when Mr.EU was calling my name to answer his question on the board. Out of nowhere I said 57.Turns out it was the right answer and I got just as much verbal abuse as Germany did. 'You really do have a weird way to show your interest Ireland' Mr.EU remarked.'Yup' I answered.He did NOT look pleased with my answer

Assembly came midday and we were all in the school gym watching the headmaster Mr.UN talk with NATO,our gym teacher.UN turned address us and got a murmured Hello from everyone.UN was the type of person who needed long answers and this didn't satisfy him.He repeated himself,only getting a louder murmur from the crowd.he snarled something to EU and EU raised his hands to the microphone,and clapped once. Suddenly all eyes were on the stage.'Thank you Mr.EU' Mr.UN remarked,not waiting for his answer before turning to us. 'Welcome back to school everyone!' He said into the mic. We are going to have to give out homework tonight unfortunately due to the fact that this is a project that needs to be done by the end of September. I shrank into my seat when the next words left his mouth.'I will pair you all with a partner for this project'. Mr UN had a annoying habit of pairing people with their bully or someone they didn't get along with. I saw Poland shrink into her seat when she was paired with russia.germany gave her hand a squeeze as a reassurance. If that was Poland, I could only guess who mine would be-
'Ireland,you will be paired with England' he said. I nodded more out of not wanting to make a scene. But the pairs only got worse. Taiwan and China,Germany and norway(which I guess wasn't a terrible group)turkey and Greece,ukraine and belarus(siblings) north korea and south korea,Lithuania and latvia got paired up to their delight and USA and Vietnam.
And out of nowhere,Mr NATO shooed us out of the room with his hands and roared DISPERSE! We dispersed pretty fucking fast.he was not to be crossed.
