That was a really low blow. He could hardly even look at her. "I wish I had never met you. I would've stayed with you forever, and you want me dead."

Elle stepped back in horror after realizing what she had just told him. "Luke, I didn't actually mean--"

Luke didn't stay to find out what else she had in store to say to him. He booked it all the way back to Sunset Curve's studio.

Alex, Bobby, and Reggie were hanging out just messing around when he got back. They saw his tear-stained cheek and asked what happened.

"Uh- Elle just broke up with me," said Luke. His voice was thick from crying the entire way back.

"Aw, Luke, I'm sorry," said Alex. "She didn't deserve you. You were good to her."

"I know I was," Luke said, shaking his head as more tears began to flow down his cheeks, "but she wants me dead now, so it's not like any of that matters anymore."

"Geez, man, that's rough," said Bobby.

"What?!" exclaimed Reggie.

Luke shook his head dismally. "It doesn't matter."

"You should write a song about it," commented Bobby. "Get back at the bitch when we release it."

Luke shook his head as a final tear rolled down his cheek. "Not now. It's--" He stuttered. "It's too fresh."

[END OF FLASHBACK]

After everyone got home from school later in the day, Julie found Alex hanging out alone in the kitchen. "Hey, Alex. How was meeting with the counselor?"

"It was okay. I told her I was anxious... and that there were a lot more people compared to my old school. But she didn't seem to understand," Alex said with a sigh. "I can't exactly tell her the last time I went to school was early 1995. She'd freak out and send me to an insane asylum. And I am not insane!"

Julie shrugged. "Maybe you can just tell her what your old school was like. Just don't go into too many details, I guess. Also... has Luke shown you Infinite Scars yet?"

"Yeah," Alex said with a nod. "He showed me in Math. Why? Did he say something weird about it or something? If he did, he's probably just getting used to everything that's changing again."

Julie shook her head. "No... It's just when I asked him what he got the inspiration from, he kinda shrugged it off, and if we're going to be co-writers..."

"Then you can't keep such big secrets like that from each other," said Alex.

Julie nodded. "Exactly. Has he told you like who it's about or anything? I don't really wanna push him to say anything. I just don't like it when he keeps things from me."

Alex walked over and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'll talk to him about it, I promise."

"Thanks, Alex," Julie said with a grateful smile.

"Of course, Julie," He said with a smile before poofing out.

"Hey, Luke," Alex said as he poofed into the studio, "Can I talk to you for a sec?"

Luke shrugged. "Sure."
