Chapter 55: Epilogue: Love Can Evolve Hate Into Love

"How are you, kookie uncle?" The toddler chirped, his words coming a bit fuzzy. At the same time, Taehyung also got back into the car and buckled his seat belt. Smiling at the cute greetings the younger just offered to his husband. Jungkook turned to look at the toddler and smiled slightly, "I'm fine. How are you doing, little one?" He greeted back in a softer tone. I mean he dislikes babies that don't mean he'll behave rudely toward them.

"Uncle TeTe is taking Wonnie to the park to play so I am really really happy!" The toddler cheered with a big smile as he threw his hands into the air with pure joy. Taehyung scrunched his nose at Jiwon's adorable response and stretch out his hand to give that toddler a light high-five. Even though Jungkook didn't notice, his lips tilted upward into an endearing smile watching his husband's and his nephew's cute interaction.

"Wonnie, catch!" Jungkook heard his husband's high-pitched squeal who was currently playing football with his nephew. He is sitting on the ground layered with fluffy grass, distant screeches of other kids, and soft murmurs of the parents chatting with each other echoing inside his ears as he sat there with his knees bent slightly and his arms hugging them lightly.

Jungkook watches his husband and his nephew with a head tilt- and also with a soft smile but you don't have to mention that to Jungkook. He watches how Taehyung's lips were stretched into an enormous boxy smile, his eyes formed into two crescent shapes and even from a distance Jungkook can notice the bright glimmer in his eyes. His- along with Jiwon's -fluffy hair were bouncing every time they jump or run to chase after the ball.

Jungkook chuckled slightly at the view of Jiwon's tiny figure next to Taehyung's giant body trying to snatch the football away from his TeTe uncle. Squealing with pure joy whenever Taehyung would do a trick with the football. The view was incredibly endearing to watch that Jungkook found himself not being able to avert his gaze from the two boys, his man and the little one.

There was a sudden change in the atmosphere as Jungkook's eyes took an odd shift and the smile slowly flutter from his face at the thought of how selfish he was for refusing the older again and again whenever he ask him to adopt a child with him. How he could've got to see this endearing sight of Taehyung every day if he just agrees to have a kid with him? Taehyung is indeed satisfied with Jungkook leading a healthy married life but the happiness he gets whenever he is around Jiwon or any other kids, it's a rare sight to admire.

How he probably hurt the older's feelings multiple times by refusing his proposal yet still Taehyung never got into a serious argument with the younger over this topic despite his strong love for kids.

And now that he looks at the prominent joy on Taehyung's face and if he just closes his eyes and imagines Taehyung playing with their own kids just the way he's playing with Jiwon, having kids suddenly doesn't sound that bad to Jungkook.

Maybe, maybe he'll get used to kids?

Taehyung let out a huff when he accidentally kicks the football in the wrong direction and it whirls toward some other bunch of kids. Before he could chase after the round ball, Jiwon already sprinted after it with his tiny legs and bend down to pick up the ball and hold it close to his chest. Taehyung noticed some other kids approached little Wonnie and they instantly clicked with each other after they offered the four-year-old to play with them.

Taehyung smiled and shook his head at the thought of how Wonnie completely forgot about his TeTe uncle's existence and proceeds to play with the other kids. He found it adorable and funny at the same time. The elder spun his head to look over his shoulder where his husband is currently chilling over the grass. The younger waved his hand toward the older lad and patted the spot beside him, offering him to take a seat.
