Chapter 28: I acted like it wasn't a big deal when really it was breaking my hea

Start from the beginning

"Understandable. If I reckon, Mr. Kim— the man you desire, never wanted a divorce from his husband. He is forcing himself to do it probably because he realized how unhealthy it is for him? Or maybe he already realized it long before but needed a push?" Seokjin paused watching his client focusing on his words with his ebony brows- unlike his blonde hair -curved together into a frown.

"And you are the push, Mr. Jeon. You are all he needed."

"So it's not unexpected that he still has feelings for his husband. He just took a step he should've taken a long time ago. I think you should give this man some time to adjust himself to this new environment." Seokjin advice resulted in a nod from Jungkook.

"I know that. Thus, I'm giving him time." Jungkook let out a heavy visible sigh through his mouth. His chest heaved up and then down at the process as he avert his gaze towards the window again. "But only a specific amount," he added. Seokjin furrowed his brows at that.

"You know I'm repeating history?" Jungkook expressed and Seokjin noticed a glimpse of sadness trying hard to mask Jungkook's hard features.

The way his jaw clenched like he was trying hard to hold himself back from breaking through his character and actually show his vulnerable side.

His past always seems to make him vulnerable.

"There was a time when I give chances after chances, forgiveness, my everything to someone only to be disappointed and left used by them." Jungkook let out a heavy sigh after he finished the para. He heaved up his chest and gulped hard, trying to eat up the lump that was threatening to form.

The blonde stood up from the single couch, Seokjin's eyes following him silently. Jungkook slowly walks towards the enormous window and stood there with both of his hands shoved inside the slacks of his pocket. Back facing his therapist.

"You know? First when I seduced, Kim, I really didn't think it was going to be a big deal. I thought I'm just going to play around with him, make him mine, make him my puppet," Jungkook paused and chuckled a bit. His shoulders shake at the process as he slightly turns his body to glance at Seokjin. "I thought it was going to be easy since I've lured many married men in my past," Seokjin sighed through his nose from where he is sitting right now and shook his head seeing the slight smirk over Jungkook's lips and how proud he was talking about the things he has done to other men.

Jungkook's smirk then soon flattered as he turn his gaze towards the window again. Strip layer of the sunlight and the shadow falling over his gorgeous face through the curtains. His jaw clenched again as the previous emotions started to take over his mind again. He could feel his eyes getting slightly blurry, tears.

"I acted like it wasn't a big deal when really it was breaking my heart."

"I underestimate Kim. I thought he was going to be easy to lure but didn't know he has so much love for his husband that it's paining me." Jungkook bites down on the inner skin of his lower lip as he tried hard to maintain his character and not break down like a pathetic prick.

"I don't know what the fuck am I doing to myself!" Jungkook suddenly snarled, his tone growing higher pitched as he nearly shouted. Though there were tears in his eyes his expression holds anger rather than sadness. "I'm letting history repeat itself! I'm chasing after a man whose heart still longs for someone else even after I've done so much for him. Even after I've stepped outside my ego zone. Even after I let my pride aside. Just for him!" At this point, Jungkook was yelling at nothing. His brows furrowed together in anger and annoyance, fists clenched together as his breathing got uneven and his eyes were now visibly glossy.

"But I still want him." Jungkook breathed out, looking down at the floor with an absent mind, head hung low and shoulders slumped down. Soft layers of warm breath escaped through his parted lips. Tears threaten to fall as they shimmer at the edge of his orbs.
