The sounds of a boat immediately filled my ears as soon as it started to move.
I wave my right arms as I bid goodbye to my younger siblings and to my mother on the shore. I watch them slowly fading into my sight before I turn my face in front.
This is my life—its full of sacrifices.
Even though I don't want to leave my siblings and parents. I needed to dahil sayang ang pera na kikitain ko. It will be a big help for me this coming school year. This little sacrifices won't last. There will be a time that I can be with my family whenever I wanted to be with them. And I can't wait for that day to come.
I smile as I heard the conversation of two girls at my age in front of me. The girl wearing a pink dress giggled as she showed her phone to the other girl.
"Ito iyong flowers na binigay niya sa akin," she extended her arms to the other girl.
"May chocolate pa na kasama, kaso kinain ko na," she added.
The other girl pouted her lips. "Ikaw na talaga ang bida."
The pink girl roll her eyes. "Mag boyfriend ka na rin kasi."
Napaismid naman ang huli sa narinig.
"Alam mo naman na strict sila Papa, aral daw muna. Dararating din ako diyan sa tamang panahon."
"Kailan naman ang tamang panahon na iyan? Pag matanda kana?"
Have you ever ask your self when is the right time? When is the right time to be in love? Kapag ba tapos ka na sa pag-aaral at nakakatulong sa mga magulang? Kailan ba ang tamang panahon para sa mga pangarap na nais mong makamit?
I frequently hear my father urging me to finish my studies before pursuing a romantic relationship. It shoud be books over boys. Mahirap ang buhay at hindi na kailangan ng iba pang alalahain sa buhay. Instead of worrying about what dress should we used on our date, we should worry about our foods na ihahain sa lamesa, we should be thinking on how to spend our money wisely.
I grow up knowing the importance of money. Maaga akong namulat sa mga bagay na maaring makuha kung may pera ka. Alam ko rin kung gaano kahirap kumita ng pera. I promise to myself that i will be successful no matter what happen and no one can stop me from pursuing my dreams. Kahit hindi sabihin ng aking ama na unahin ang pagtupad ng pangarap ay iyon ang gagawin ko.
I witnessed how my father shallowed his pride para makautang ng pera panggamot ng kapatid kong nasa hospital ng araw na iyon sa mga kamag-anak naming nakakaangat ng estado sa buhay na minaliit muna at pinagsabihan ng mga masasakit na salita bago pahiramin ng pera.
I cant wait for the day that i will have all means to spoil my parents to something that i know they deserve.

The latter showed his bucket. I saw the small fishes fresh from the sea. Tumalon pa ang isa mula sa kulay itim na timba.
Poor fish.
''Medyo marami ang huli ngayon, puwede na pantawid gutom," he smiled as he picked up the fish and put it back inside the bucket.
