No one's P.O.V

Whilst on a walk with Aragorn,Y/n learned a lot about his past. She learnt what it had been like for him to grow up with the elves here in Rivendell,and unlike she had been Aragorn had not been shunned for being human.
"Was it ever difficult for you?" Y/n asked
"There where difficult times for me,but then again what childhood doesn't have some difficulty" Aragorn said
"True,but at least the elves here excepted you. I was made to feel not welcome after Raay died" Y/n told him
"Sometimes people are afraid of someone different,they can't always understand them" Aragorn said.

"Yes but why only change after Raay died,if they couldn't understand me before why not do something then?" Y/n asked
"Hmm I don't know,you did say that this Master Raay wasn't a cruel man so that couldn't be it. Perhaps it is something to do with his widow and son" Aragorn said
"I just didn't expect them to have so much of a hold over the people of Laathrion" Y/n
"Fear is a powerful thing" Aragorn said" Think of it this way Y/n, your bad past helped make you today. And that is who people care about"

"Yeah that's true,it just took me a long enough to learn to trust the elves here" Y/n said
"Except for Elrond, from what he has told me you got along with him from almost the beginning" Aragorn said
"Yeah his kindness towards me was something I hadn't experienced in years" Y/n said" Elrond is just...really special...there isn't anyone like him..."
Aragorn and Y/n headed back inside after there talk,Y/n now felt much better for having spoken to the king of Gondor about his past.

With all that had been going on in Rivendell recently,Elrond had forgotten an important date coming soon. The elf lord and Y/n are going over some old school elf text,when Lindir arrives with an important message

Elrond's p.o.v

I had been explaining to Y/n about the text I had recently found,I thought she might find it interesting.
"Are you sure this is elvish,I can't make out any of the words" Y/n said
"It's one of the original maps of Rivendell" I told her " So there not words but numbers"
"Oh that makes more sense,I have yet to master the numbers" Y/n said,at that moment Lindir appears
"My lord you have visitors" Lindir said
"More I'm not expecting more" I said not sure who Lindir meant.

"The Lady Galadriel and Gandalf are here to discuss plans for your birthday my lord,it is next week" Lindir said
"It is,you never told me that?" Y/n said
"I forgot myself" I said,Y/n and Lindir both looked at me shocked" I can forget something sometimes"
"That's not true" Y/n said
"It is true" I say" Lindir show the visitors here",Lindir left and Y/n said
"In all these years I have known you,you haven't forgotten something once"
"I'm surprised you didn't remember for me" I said.

"I had others things to do you know" Y/n said
"It isn't that bad,we still have a week to sort things out" I say
"Even with more guests?" Y/n asked
"Yes even with more guests" I say "Don't worry your beautiful head about it" I said kissing Y/n on the lips
"Aww you called me beautiful" Y/n said, before anything more could be said Lindir returns with Galadriel and Gandalf. Y/n talked with Gandalf for a few moments,it had been quiet some time since she had seen him.

I had meant to be talking with Galadriel but I found myself looking over to Y/n,I watched as she smiles as she talked with the wizard that had brought her here. I hope that I won't have to talk with Galadriel and Gandalf for long,I do enjoy talking to them but I'd like to spend some time with Y/n before the day ends
"Something on your mind Elrond?" The voice of Galadriel said, drawing my gaze back to her
"Nothing that can not wait longer" I said
" Are you sure,you seemed very distracted for at least five minutes. I don't think you heard a word of what I had said" Galadriel said.

It is true I hadn't been listening to her,I didn't mean to not listen. Y/n had finished talking with Gandalf and the wizard now joined us. I watched as Lindir asked Y/n to help him with something.

No one's P.O.V

Whilst Elrond had been watching Y/n talk with Gandalf,Galadriel had been observing the lord of Rivendell. She had noticed that he been distracted by the female elf he had been talking to when she had arrived. When Gandalf had joined her side she said quietly
"I'm not sure Lord Elornd will be of much help,he is very distracted"
"Oh that's not like him,I wonder what it could be" Gandalf said
"I think it has something to do with the lady that he had been talking with when we arrived" Galadriel said
"You don't think...?" Gandalf asked
"It certainly looks that way" Galadriel replies,the two watching as Y/n left with Lindir and Elrond finally payed proper attention to them.
