[47] FALLING OUT OF LOVE - JULY 7 2023

"A/N? Y/N?" Jungkook is confused "...who are they?"

Jimin scoffs "How pathetic you are. You have no shame. How can you lie to me like this? I trusted you and you cheat behind my back?!"

"What the fck Jimin?! How can you even think like this? Don't you trust in our love? What did I ever do to make you feel this way?!" Jungkook is disappointed, angry and hurt.

"Then why can't I visit you at work huh? Is it because I will catch you with your mistress..." Jimin's words are cut off by Jungkook slapping him across his cheek

Jungkook's eyes widen when he realizes what he just did. He couldn't do this anymore.

Everyday Jimin was accusing him of something he didn't do. He realized that his desire to come home and be with Jimin had decreased. Jimin has always been his safe haven but now he dreaded going home. He never thought he would ever hurt Jimin this way and now he is scared that if he stays in this toxic relationship he will only hurt himself and Jimin further.

Before the thought of being away from Jimin killed him, but now he realizes that maybe that love he once had for his husband was no longer there

Jimin didn't want to divorce the man but after Jungkook slapped him, he believed that Jungkook fell out of love and he didn't want Jungkook to stay with him just because he was pregnant now

Yes, Jimin found out he was pregnant the day Jungkook mailed him the divorce notice

They are divorced now.

Jungkook thought he would be happier without the boy but the anxiety of how Jimin must be doing made him more stressed and worried.

He tried to let the boy go, thinking Jimin would be happier without him. He felt Jimin deserved someone who was not him, because no matter what he did, Jimin wasn't happy with him.

Jungkook missed the boy terribly and decides to check up on Jimin. He followed the boy and he found out that Jimin was pregnant. He was so happy yet upset that Jimin didn't let him know.

Maybe that's what I deserve for hurting you. No matter how hard I tried to not hurt you, you always end up crying yourself to sleep and I couldn't do that to you anymore...maybe it's my fault only...maybe I fell out of love and didn't realize it... I'm sorry my love wasn't enough...

Jungkook lets his parents know about Jimin and they occasionally visit Jimin to enquire about him and the baby

Jimin invites Jungkook to the hospital on his 8th month of pregnancy

Jungkook is definitely surprised but glad to see the boy

"I want you to be there in the delivery room... I will probably give birth end of next month..." Jimin says looking down fidgeting his fingers. Jungkook still found it adorable

"I'm sorry..." Jimin admits as he looks up at Jungkook with teary eyes "...I finally understand that I had been hurting you all along..." Jimin sniffles "...I hope you can forgive me one day for destroying our beautiful family... but I hope you know it wasn't intentional...I would never hurt you like that if I wasn't myself..."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asks confused

"Before I say anything... do you still love me or you fell out of love like you said to me..."

Jungkook looks at Jimin's vulnerable eyes, he reaches out for the boy's hands "I don't think I ever stopped loving you. I don't think I ever can" Jungkook sighs "...I think the things that happened between us just made me think I couldn't make you happy and that I couldn't do that because my love wasn't enough and that my love wasn't enough because maybe I fell out of love....I thought I could finally breathe again after the divorce, after being away from you.." Jungkook's eyes tear up "...but that is far from the truth...I feel more suffocated without you but I couldn't go to you again ..I just don't want you to cry yourself to sleep... it hurt... it really hurt... especially knowing I am the cause for it..."

"So you still love me?" Jimin asks with hope in his eyes

Jungkook chuckles "Yes I do..." his smile disappears "...but does that matter? I can't be with you only for you to be hurt again"

"What if I say that whatever happened was because of a mild tumor I had which aggregated after taking the herbal supplements?"

"What?!"

"Hello Mr Park and Mr Jeon,I presume..." Dr Min walks into the room "...I think Mr Park must have already told you something but let me clarify further...."

Jungkook sits wide eyed as Dr Min explains Jimin's situation. Jimin had a mild pituitary adenoma- nothing too serious but after the boy started taking the herbal drinks and supplements, it aggrevated it. Jimin even took extra by mistake. He was supposed to take 1 teaspoon a day instead of the 1 tablespoon he mistakenly took. The toxic levels along with the existing adenoma made Jimin delusional, hormonal, irritable with altered sensnorium. Jimin had no idea he was being a changed man and Jungkook had no idea that the medication was responsible for the same

Its during the history taking by the doctor that Dr Min asks Jimin to stop taking the supplements since Jimin is already pregnant and 2 months after that is when Jimin finally gets all his senses back, self reflects and finally masters courage to face Jungkook again

Jungkook smiles as he gets into bed with Jimin as the boy held their tiny baby girl in his arms

"How are both of my babies doing today?" Jungkook whispers as he hugs Jimin in a way that he is cupping Jimin's arms around their baby

"She is doing just fine. She just had her feeding, I already changed her diaper and she is halfway asleep already..."

"And how is my big baby doing?" Jungkook chuckles when Jimin pouts

"Tired..." Jimin gives him a lazy smile before turning his face to see his daughter

Jungkook sighs contently "I'm glad everything worked out well. Even though we had to go through things we shouldn't have, we both stood the test of time... we both understood that no matter what, the other's happiness matters and that we love each other.... thank you for coming back to me when I didn't have the courage to... thank you for loving me ...."

A tear escapes the boy's eyes "Thank you for loving me back even after everything I put you through..."

"It wasn't your fault..." Jungkook is quick to say

"I did have a part to play..." Jimin sighs

"Let's forget about our past and move forward onto our future..." Jungkook says cupping Jimin's face to wipe away his tears "I love you so much..."

"I love you too" Jimin closes his eyes feeling Jungkook's lips on his forehead

They pull away giggling when their hear their baby girl sneeze cutely

"I can't believe we made her..."

"I can't either... she is precious... just like you are to me..." Jungkook says hugging Jimin and their baby again "I love you both so much"

"I love you both too"
