"Why do I have to be here?" I sulk.

"Because you need to know what you're going to be doing at the wedding now stop sulking." Mum tells me.

"Hey." Hugo says sitting next to me.

"Hi."

"Jules said he talked to you before."

"I don't know why that's relevant."

"Apparently you were very feisty."

"Yeah, he's already told me that. You don't have to tell me twice."

"Guess you are being very feisty today, are you on your period?"

"Shut up, don't ask me that ever again and for the record. I am not on my period."

"You excited for our parents to get married?" He asks changing the subject.

"No, my mum better not make me change my name."

"You don't like the name Gonzalez?"

"I just don't want to be a Gonzalez. I like being y/n Rodriguez."

"Not even y/n Rodriguez Gonzalez?"

"No, just Rodriguez."

"Now we're going to be step siblings, can I tell you something that you can't tell anyone?"

"It depends."

"I used to like Babi."

"Your lying!" I laugh.

"I'm being honest! It was before she was with Nick but I only liked her for 4 months, it wasn't very long."

"But you still liked her."

"You better not tell her I swear to god, y/n."

"I won't."

"Promise?"

"Promise, so how long have you known Jules?"

"Since I first started racing, I'm friends with his cousin, he's called James. He told me about how Jules races and we ended up going to his race. He introduced us and he got me into racing, he actually got me my first motorbike and then he got me into racing."

"And you've been besties ever since?"

"We've been bros ever since." He corrects.

"Where's James now? I haven't seen him before."

"He moved to Mexico, he wanted to have a career racing so he decided to go to Mexico to pursue it. He told me last week he won the championship so he's got his dream."

"And what's your dream?"

"I don't have one."

"Everyone has a dream!"

"I don't know, maybe to be a mechanic." He shrugs.

"If I tell you something you promise you won't get mad or say anything to anyone?" I ask.

"Promise, now what is it?"

"I think your mate Jules is one of the best looking people I've ever seen in my life." I confess.

"So you're feisty and confident, who knew?"

"You can't tell him."

"And I won't, I can set you two up if you wish?"

"I don't know."

"He's said the same thing about you too."

"He hasn't."
