"So did something go wrong, or did something go right?" Sam asks.
"Well, after I put the stones back... I thought, maybe I'll try some of that life Tony was telling me to get." Steve smiles, looking back toward the lake. His voice trembling as he spoke.
"How did that work out for you?" Sam asks.
"It was beautiful" Steve responds, Mya lets out a hiccups breath. "Steve. You went back to her..." she says as tears run down her cheeks.
He doesn't respond but he lets out a half smile, which she took as a yes. "I'm happy for you. Truly." Sam says.
"Thank you." He says.
Mya and Sam look at each other. Sam puts his arm around her, as soon as he seeing her tears fall down her cheeks. "I can't..." she whispers into his chest.
"It's okay. I needed to do this Mya." He puts out his hand, she pulls back from Sam and takes his hand. She looks down at his hand, it looked wrinkled and fragile next to hers. "You and Bucky have a family. I didn't belong here anymore, I don't think I ever did." he says with a trembling voice.
"Steve, you are like my family. You're so important to me. Why didn't you tell me?" She cries softly stroking the back of his hand.
He looks down at her hand on his and takes a slow deep breath. "If I told you... You'd convince me not to do it" he spoke slowly.
She sits next to him, he slowly places his arm around her and she breaks down crying onto his chest. "It's okay" he slowly pats her back.
"I've Pietro, my parents, Nat, now you too?" She says through the tears. "I'm not strong enough for this, Steve," she sniffles, he lifts her chin.
"Hey, you're the strongest person I know... You're a Stark, you got this," He smiles.
She takes a deep breath and looks up at him, taking in all his new older features. "Noah and this little one need you." He slowly cups her cheek and wipes her tears with his thumb. She places her hand over his. "Mya, Bucky loves you. I did this for both of us." He smiles, and slowly moves his head back looking at Bucky. "I lived a beautiful life... Now you and Bucky can be happy too," he says.
She tilts her head, wondering what he meant by that. She looks back at Bucky. "Did he-" she pauses. "I can't believe it..." she says and stands next to Sam.
"Mya, let's not-" Sam stops her. "Bucky knew and let him leave... All because it was convenient to him." she whispers and runs her hand through her mouth down her chin.
"You don't know that. I don't think that's what he meant" Sam whispers. "Oh you know that's exactly what he meant." She says looking back at Bucky with anger in her eyes. Sam turns her back toward Steve and places his arm around her.
"Do you want to tell us about her?" Sam asks trying to change the subject.
"No, I don't..." Steve smiles softly looking out at the lake.
"You know, the only thing bumming me out is the fact I have to live in a world without Captain America." He says.
"Oh, That reminds me." He says and pulls out the shield next to him. Sam and Mya look at each other with wide eyes. "Try it on." Steve adds.
Mya steps aside, Sam is startled, he didn't know she to say. He looks at Mya almost for permission. Her family did build the shield for Steve. She nods with a smile.
He looks toward Bucky, still standing behind them. Sam takes the shield, places it around his arm. He glances at Mya, she covers her mouth and smiles proudly. "It looks good on you!" she says softly.
