The One With The Beginning

Naomi is a fresh out of college girl who took on the job as becoming a writer. She's looking for inspiration, so she decides to move to the Big City in New York. What better place to look for some inspiration?

Her parents have disowned her from straying from the family path of being a lawyer. Naomi didn't care, though. She wanted to follow her own dreams.

It's winter in New York as Naomi decides to move into an apartment there. As she's driving down the road, her car slips on ice and her car suddenly starts spinning out of control. The car breaks down in the middle of a small town and coincidentally, her phone doesn't have service.

"Crap..What am I gonna do?" Naomi said to herself, starting to lose faith. Then, out of no where a car drives down the road. Naomi signals down the car and it comes to a stop by her.

"Something wrong?" A guy with dark brown eyes and messy brown hair asks Naomi. Naomi nods her head, replying, "Yeah, my car just broke down..."

"I see. You need a ride?" The stranger asked Naomi. She weighed her options. What her parents would want her to do was get the hell away from this man, but she didn't answer to them anymore.

"Are you sure?" Naomi asked nervously, yet needing a ride. The man shrugged. "Sure, why not? It's no problem." She noticed he had a Italian accent, which she liked.

"Alright," Naomi hopped into the passengers seat. "I'm Naomi, by the way." She smiled at the handsome stranger.

"I'm Joey. You gonna need that car, by the way?" He smirks, pointing to her abandoned car. She just laughed, shaking her head. "It's my parents' loaner...I won't need it." She smiled and he smiled back.

"Where to?" Joey asked her. He wondered what a girl like her would be doing in the middle of nowhere. He was just out at his cabin that his parents owned. He needed time away.

"Wherever you're going is fine." Naomi shrugged and Joey raised his eyebrows. "A girl with no plan? Never heard of one of them before." He joked and she laughed. A girl laughing at one of his sexist joke? That's a first.

"Alright, then. To Central Park it is."
