Amayra Saahi
"Go in." Amayra said, as a rose petal fell on the concrete floor besides her leg, meeting its unfortunate end.
"Do not go in." The another petal followed the same destiny, being unremorsefully trashed.
"Go in." The sequence continued.
"Do not go in."
"Go in."
"Do not go in."
"Bro, have you realized that you're brutally murdering that poor rose?" Maya chided, from the driver seat of her black Mahindra Classic jeep. It was frustrating for her to watch her bestfriend being over-dramatic.
"No, not a murder. It's a sacrifice that the flower has made being a part of the war." Amayra announced, then sighed deeply looking at the last petal which was still stuck to the base of the flower. "And now, it is my turn to sacrifice."
Maya rolled her eyes before smacking her bestfriend's head who was still leaning onto her jeep.
"Oh please! It's getting too much." She said, raising her hand. "Now, will you go inside your house or shall I kick you in?"
"Correction, bro. The place isn't my house anymore, it's a Warfield." Amayra stated. "Can't you hear the voices? My peace-loving father and his dearest, most-patient daughter have started a war between themselves." The sarcastic words she used to define her father and sister had Maya throw her head back and laugh.
Amayra cringed seeing her bestfriend laugh, before throwing away the now single-petalled rose. Standing straight on her legs, she adjusted her sweatshirt, got her gymbag from the passenger seat and gave a look to her friend.
"Bro, good luck." Maya teased and chuckled when she saw her sticking her tongue out.
Taking a deep breath, Amayra marched towards the two storey mini-villa. The sound of arguments taking place inside was rather more than usual, she noted as she crossed the veranda. That implied, some serious matter had taken place in her absence.
Standing at the door itself, she could hear her father, Rishabh Saahi taunting her sister for 'never listening to him ever' from his room.
"Papa, don't be so unreasonable." Tanya scolded her father as she walked out of his room. The deep frown on her beautiful face made Amayra curious of the topic of their disagreement.
Tanya and their father had always possessed different ideologies. But then, she had inherited all of his traits, including the hazel color of his iris unlike Amayra. Both of them were the epitome of stubbornness in her family and that was why they usually loved to unnecessarily state their point of view on every particular topic and then unnecessarily argue with each other.
"Wow, now I'm unreasonable to you! What a selfish brat!" Rishabh yelled, before shutting his door with a bang that made Amayra slap her hand on her forehead.
Now this was going out of limit.
"Me and selfish? Like really Papa?" Tanya was absolutely miffed. "You know what? Let Amy come, I'll tell her what happened. Then we'll see whose side she takes."
Hearing that, Amayra's eyes widened. She swiftly turned around to see Maya still watching her. She then brought her hand flat in front of her neck and shook it, giving an 'I'm dead' sign to her friend. But one stern look from Maya made her drop her shoulders and finally step inside her house.
In no minutes, she caught Tanya's attention.
"Amy, thank God you came at the right time." Tanya breathed out, speeding towards her, seemingly relaxed to find her sister home.
