chapter one

Donnies pov:

Headphones in a pink tube, a yellow tube, and a green tube. I mixed the tubes into one big beaker and shook it around a bit. Once it turned into a dark blue color , I distributed the mixture into three different tubes. I injected one of the tubes into a machine, and my goal was to be able to safely inject this mix into anyone, and you can temporarily swap minds.
I grabbed a white tube and an orange tube, I was getting ready to mix the two together when my brothers walked in. "Donnie, it's time to put your big boy toys away and get ready for patrol," Raph spat.

I nodded and injected the white tube into my machine. I turned around to realize what I did. "Oooohhhhh boy -" I said under my breath, right as the machine blew up in our faces.

"Sorry! Is everyone alright?!?" I asked while standing up and brushing myself off. "Wait... why do I sound like -" I paused and looked down, I was in mikeys body!

"Dude... how am I so tall!" I heard myself ask, "who is in my body?" I questioned. "Uhhh, mikey?" Mikey answered.

Raph and leo stood up and looked straight at each other. "Soo... I am in Leo's body, eh?" Raph asked, examining Leo's body. "Seems like it... were you making? Why would anyone ever need to switch bodies?" Leo quizzed.

"It was supposed to make it so for a temporary amount of time, you and another person could switch minds." I explained. "It sounds so weird when you explain science-y stuff in Mikey's voice. It makes him sound smart. "Hey!!!"

"To make this clear,
I(donnie) and in mikey's body,
Mikey is in my(donnie) body,
Raph is in Leo's body,
Leo is in raphs body, correct?" Everyone nodded.

"Alright, let me just take these," I grabbed Leo and raphs mask, took off mikeys, and my own. I then put on my purple mask, handed mikey his mask, and so on and so forth for Leo and Raph. "It will be less confusing that way," I spotted.

Raphs pov:

I do NOT want to be in Leo's body.
It felt weird, my lower half, mainly my waist/belt area, felt heavier.
I always thought he back would be aching, or he would hurt everywhere. But it was only his knees. "You feel like an old man." I commented.

"And you feel like anger issues if it has a body," he commented back. I glared at him and rolled my eyes.

Leo pov:

"And you feel like anger issues if it had a body," I spat. I guess we can feel the other person's pain. Raph must work out a lot more than I thought. He calves burned, his muscles ached, and I wouldn't be surprised if, under these bandages, his nuckles are bleeding. "Well. No point in standing around, I will be in my room if you need me -" Raph started.

"Actually, I think we should go over some rules for each other. Like what to and to not do in eachothers bodies. To show respect!" I interrupted. Raph growled and came back.

"How about you start raph, the soon we get this over with the sooner you can leave," I offered.
"1, don't you dare even think about doing dojo work in my body, I don't wanna get back and feel like an old man." He expressed. I sighed. "And I don't want you to punch walls or lift weights in mine. Also, please don't go through my belt. If you wish to take it off, that's fine." I finished. I addressed my hand to the door, and he left. I stayed to ask donnie a question, but I had to wait for donnie and mikey to go over the rules.

Donnies pov:
This is not what I thought mikeys body would feel like... at all. I would've expected to feel heavier. And what's with the pain? I am trying to hard not to cringe at the pain.
"Alright... sooooo, just because you're in my body does not mean you are allowed in my lab. Please do not eat pizza every second. In addition please no junk food." I requested. He groaned but nodded. "Anything you have as far as rules go?" I asked him.

Mikeys pov:
Donnies body felt weird, mainly because I am taller now. "Anything you have as far as rules go?" He asked me. I scanned over him/ my body.
"Leave the bandages alone, and that's all!" I skipped off, I really hope he leaves the bandages alone...

3rd person pov:

Splinter walked into the TV pit area to check up on his son's. He mainly needed to pull Leo off to the side to ask him about today's missing training. He looked around and saw all his sons doing things they normally wouldn't be doing.

Raph was watching space heroes,
Donnie was reading comics upside down on the beanbag,
Leo was also reading a comic,
And mikey was on donnies laptop, tapping away at the keyboard.

(In case that's confusing, in splinters eyes, it's just his son's. They still are switched, but Splinter doesn't know this yet -)

"Leonardo, can you come here for a second?" Raph looked away from space heroes and headed over to his sensi. "Sorry Raphael, I asked for Leonardo," he stated. "Ohhhh right, we switched bodies for... until donnie fixes this mess." Leonardo explained.

Leo told Splinter, who was who and what was going on, pretty much filling him in. Also, explaining why he missed training.

Raphs pov:
I put away the comic and left for my room. "I know he said not to go punching and lifting, but..." I looked over to my weights and punching bag. "A turtles gotta do what a turtles gotta do," I started with some warm-ups. His belt was a bit too heavy, but I didn't want to take it off, so I opened one of the pockets. Some simple stuff like hand sanitizer, small pack of tissues, a tiny pack of bandaids, and some medical supplies like gauze and stuff. After that pocket was out of the way, I ended up going through them all. Once I reached the last pocket, I opened it up and saw some neatly folded papers, each had a name on them. "Violet," "tracer," "Katalin," and "mack," I read each note.

Dear Sir Leo:
Thaks you fore saving my momma and me and my kittey and my papaa!
You r a treu hewro!"

Thanks for saving my family and whatever. You didn't need to, but you did ig and that was brave and all so... thanks and whatever.

I wondered who they were from, but I couldn't let Leo know I broke the rules!... maybe I will say they fell out of his pockets! Yeah! That will work!

Mikeys pov:
I was highly on edge. I was so scared he would take off the bandages. Every 5 seconds, I would glance at him to make sure he isn't taking them off. What would I say if he did figure it out? Ice cream kitty? No. A stray? Nope. Grah! I don't know, man...
