"No hitting Dakota! Give him a kiss, kisses!" Saint woke up to Kalaní whispering to Dakota he squinted his eyes feeling wet kisses on his face , today was Saint birthday and kalani had made him breakfast
"Hey" kalani said smiling standing by his bed, Dakota was sitting on his arm looking at him
"Say happy birthday dada" kalani said to Dakota who looked at her then back at Saint, she cheesed at Saint showing her teeth making him laugh
"Thank you baby girl , this for me?" He groaned sitting up placing Dakota on his side, kalani nodded handing him the plate of food making him smile the pancakes said happy birthday on them. After two days of her toying with him she finally said yes to allowing him to take her out today
"Come on Dakota stop grabbing his food" kalani said watching Dakota steal a strawberry from his plate she put it in her mouth before her mom could take it from her
"She's so bad!" Kalani shook her head as Saint laughed
"She good, what's mind is hers" he shrugged this is the first birthday in two years where his heart felt warm waking up to.
"What plans you got today?" Kalani asked him and he smirked feeding Dakota a piece of the pancake
"You my plans for today wym?" She rolled her eyes at Saint she turned her body and walked to the door
"Where you going?" He asked looking at her
"To get my hair done and my nails and stuff. You can spend your birthday morning with Dakota like you wanted" he stared at her , she had on a black bonnet with black Nike pro shorts and a oversized shirt
"Why you staring at me? Oh! Happy birthday Saint" she smiled at him forgetting she didn't say it yet.
"Thank you mama, but that ain't what I'm talking about. Why you leaving I saiid I wanted to spend the day with both of y'all " he put the plate down on the nightstand making Dakota look at him like he was crazy
"I know and like I promised I'll do whatever you want me to do today. Now unless you want me looking crazy I gotta go. I should be back in 2 or 3 hours ok? Oh and your gift is in the living room. Bye " she kissed Dakota cheek then walked out of the room, Saint looked over at Dakota who looked like she was about to cry
"Damn man, she be back Kota I promise" he picked her up as she cried softly sometimes she gets real clingy when one of them leave
"You want some more strawberries?" He asked her picking one up, she stopped crying and ate it making him laugh.
