"How is it my fault? The horse is at fault here."

In Jumping, if a horse knocks down a rail from a jump or elements of the jump, it's called a fault. This can be refusing jumps, running past the jumps, the rider falling off, or the combination of taking longer than the time on the course.

By the way, nothing a horse does is their fault, this kind of fault is referring to Jumping only.
