Chapter 14

Cyborg reached into the box pulling out a wooden marionette puppet that looked shockingly similar to him. "Aww, isn't that cute? Puppet Cy has a light up eye." He said holding the puppet up to show the others. "Yeah! They got all the details just right." Robin said pulling a small attachment on his puppets belt. Perci couldn't help but look over Robin's shoulder at the puppet. "Speak for yourself." Beast boy said after looking inside his puppets pants. "I'm way better looking than this...and taller!" Beast tried to defend himself.

"Woah...that's actually crazy impressive. I wonder how long it took them to make these." Perci said as she stared at the different puppets. "Sorry, Perci...there wasn't one for you." Robin said and she shrugged her shoulders. "Eh that's fine...I'm still a new arrival to the public, plus I won't be staying." She said even though she was kind of sad she didn't get one.

"Someone certainly has a lot of time on their hands." Raven said pulling back the hood of her puppet back to see the details. Starfire let out soft giggles as she played with her puppet. "I have never seen such a whimsical device." She cleared her throat before putting on a silly voice. "Hello, Starfire!" She said making her puppet bow before shaking her hand. "Hello, tiny wooden replica of Starfire!" Perci couldn't help but smile at the alien's antics.

Perci moved next to Starfire to get a better look at her puppet, leaving the boys of the team to act like themselves. "Dude! My puppet is totally kicking your puppet's butt!" Beast Boy said while making his puppet kick Robin's. Robin stared in disbelief at Beast Boy's action before joining in on his antics. "Not for long. Whaa! Hiiiya!" Robin said making sound effects for his puppet. Robin made his push Beast's puppet into Cyborg's. "You want a piece of me, little man?" Cyborg said making his puppet shake his fist making Perci laugh as she watched the guys making their puppets fight.

"Boys." Raven said not surprised at all by their antics. "I'd do the same shit if I had a puppet." Perci said with a smile making Raven roll her eyes. "Of course you would." Starfire held her puppet up in front of Raven with the same hopeful eyes as before. "Shall my tiny replica do battle with your tiny replica?" Star asked hoping Raven would say yes. "Knock yourself out." Raven said throwing her puppet to Star. "I'll battle with you, Star." Perci said as she carefully took the puppet from Starfire. "I bet I can do a mean Raven impression. Watch this!" She said before clearing her throat. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos." She said making the others laugh.

Night time had rolled through all of Jump City. Titans tower was left quieter than the streets of the city when something else came out of the wooden box. Starfire was sleeping peacefully in her circular pink bed next to her puppet that she'd made a similar bed for. Her door opened and someone snuck inside. Thankfully, she had woken up from her door opening causing the intruder to leave. She sat up in her bed just as her door closed making her gasp. "Who's there?!" She called out.

Beast boy laid dead asleep on his bunk bed. His tv still on with a game over screen of a dead green monkey. He was curled up with his puppet dangling from the lamp by his head. "Ladies, please. One at a time. You'll all get to take a picture with me." He said before kissing whatever he had wrapped in his arms. The intruder pressed a button on his strange device causing Beast Boy's soul to transfer into the puppet.

Starfire left her room looking around the hallways. "Hello? Hello?" She called out as the intruder escaped her gaze. The intruder entered Cyborg's room next. Cyborg was laying down on his charging station, the puppet held to his chest as he slept. The intruder pressed a button on his device causing the same thing that happened to Beast Boy to happen to Cyborg.

"Is someone there?" Starfire called through the halls again just barely missing the intruder. The next victim was Robin. The boy wonder's body lifted off the floor slightly as his soul went into his puppet that was on top of his book shelf. A sinister laugh flooded the halls making Starfire even more scared than she already was.

"If this is a joke, it is not-" Starfire was cut off by a door opening. Starfire and someone else let out loud screams causing someone else to stir awake. "Raven! You have also heard the strange noises?" Starfire asked her friend once Raven caught her breath. "The strange noises of you talking outside my door? Hard to miss." Raven said making Star rub the back of her neck embarrassed. "Oh...forgive me. I thought there was someone-" A blue blast made both girls gasp as they turned to see who fired at them.

Beast Boy, Robin, and Cyborg were running towards the two girls at full speed. Robin jumped as he tried to land a hard kick to Starfire. Beast Boy changed into a dinosaur that tried to repeatedly bite Raven. Thankfully, Star dodged and Raven used her magic as a shield against Beast Boy. "Beast boy! It's me! Don't make me hurt you!" Raven said as she blocked Beast Boy's attacks. Robin threw a few disks towards Star. She easily shot them down, but one went off making a large flash. She fell from the air right into Cyborg's arms. Beast boy hit Raven with his tail sending her into Cyborg's arms as well.

"Let me go!" Raven yelled as she struggled against the metal man. "Friends! Why do you attack us?" Starfire asked confused as to why her friends would betray them. "Oh...they're not your friends anymore." A short man who looked strikingly similar to a puppet himself came from the shadows. "They are my puppets. These are your friends." The man said holding up the marionettes that had trapped their friends souls. "Starfire!" The puppet of Robin strained out of his wooden mouth. "Raven!" Cyborg's puppet said turning towards the girls. "Help!" Beast Boy's said just as strained as the other two.

"Release them!" Raven demanded. "Sorry, but you're not in charge here. You don't command me. I command you." The man said holding up his device. Beast Boy and Cyborg each held up the last two remaining puppets. Light surrounded the two girl's bodies as they struggled against it. "And with the Puppet King pulling the strings the Teen Titans will command the entire city." The puppet king said when a figure appeared behind him. "I wouldn't be too sure about that." A sickeningly sweet voice said from behind the man.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven rasped out just as their souls were leaving their bodies. The puppet king had just enough time to see the taller figure dressed in different shades of green that had a shadow cased over their eyes only revealing a dark smirk. Raven's magic quickly took over and black filled the halls. Perci Bloom took her chance and released a hard kick. Unfortunately, she missed her target only hitting the device from the Puppet King's hand.

"My control!" The Puppet king shouted as he searched for where the device had gone. Perci quickly looked towards the two girls who were laying on the ground. She watched in amazement as glowing orbs went back into their bodies. She quickly pulled both girls to their feet as they ran away. "After them!" The puppet king yelled quickly getting his new puppets to follow the three girls.

Perci pried open a vent before jumping down into the darkness. Raven followed after then Starfire as she closed the vent behind her. All three girls looked up as they watched their other teammates feet run right over them. "The boys! Perci, Raven...what are we going to-" Starfire said before raven pulled the string of a single lightbulb. Raven and Starfire stared at each other while Perci looked around them making sure the boys wouldn't suddenly jump down.

"Sorry it took me so long. I heard noises, but I thought Beast and Cy were just having another one of their midnight buffets. My attack missed the puppet king-god that's such a stupid fucking name! Anyways I...are you guys okay?" Perci asked pausing her whisper yelled rant as she stared at the two girls who were staring at each other.

"Starfire?" Starfire's body asked Raven. "Raven?!" Raven's body asked Starfire. "I-I'm sorry...what the hell is wrong with you two?" Perci questioned as she glanced worriedly between the two heroes. "You are me!" Starfire in Raven's body said. "And I am you!" The powers from Raven's body quickly made the light explode from Starfire's panicked state. "This can't be good." Perci said under her breath.
