Owner

You were sleeping when you had a nightmare. You ended up panicking and decided to go on your phone to distract yourself. That's when your owner heard the phone and barged in. He took your phone and threw it across the room.

"How many times have I told you that when you have a nightmare, just shrug it off!! They happen and you can't do anything about them when they happen!! It's best if you just go back to bed!!"

You covered your ears and wrapped yourself in a ball, wrapping your tail around you for comfort.

"Don't fucking start that bullshit that I'm being the villain!! Don't make me BECOME THE VILLAIN!!! IS THAT UNDERSTOOD!?"

"Y-Yessir..." You said in between whimpers.

He left the room and you grabbed your phone. You went back in and your owner barged in again and took your phone and smashed it. He didn't smash it to where you couldn't use it. You could still use it, but now, it had a whole bunch of cracks.

You grabbed your phone and ran to the front yard. You knocked on a neighbors door. They didn't seem to answer. You knocked on another neighbors door who you thought wouldn't answer, but a man did.

"Holy shit... You're a fucking neko-"

You realized you forgot to hide your ears and tail, luckily, the man invited you in kindly. You walked in and just stood in front of the door, waiting to see if you could sit anywhere.

"For now, you sleep on the couch."

You nodded and layed down on the couch, cuddling a pillow you brought with you. You just layed there, unable to sleep. The man didn't notice this and went back to his room. He layed back down on his bed where there was another man.

"Baby, what happened?"

"Nothing, it can wait until the morning."

Both of the men went back to sleep. Meanwhile, you couldn't sleep at all. That's when you heard a loud bang on the door that startled you. One of the men heard it and rushed down to open it. It was the same man that let you in.

"Sir, may I help you?"

You looked to see who it was and saw that it was your owner. You ran behind the couch, hoping he wouldn't find you.

"Yeah, they're here, why?"

"It's mine. It ran away."

The guy nodded and picked you up and handed you to your owner. You were super tiny.

"Thank you. So sorry to bother you, by the way."

"It's not a problem."

You jumped out of your owners arms and ran back inside with the other man and hissed at your owner whenever he came near. When the man tried to pick you up, you ran away. Then, the other man came down.

"Hey, what's going o-"

He saw you and the other man and your owner.

"Yours sir?"

He nodded and the man picked you up and handed you to your owner. But again, you jumped out of his arms and hid behind the couch. One of the men bent down to your level and tried to talk to you.

"Is there a reason you don't wanna go with your owner?"

"H-He beats me.."

The man stood up and whispered into the other man's ear.

"Sir, I think we'll keep the neko."

"Fine, whatever. That stupid neko was only living with me so I could make money off of it anyway."

"Sir, a neko is not referred as an it. A neko is referred by their gender."

"I don't give a shit. As I said, it was only living with me cause I needed money."

The man took you and took you upstairs, placing you on a bed. The other man closed the door, locked it and went upstairs with you and the other man.

"Are you okay?"

"M-Mhm..."

One of them held out their hand, but you pushed it away.

"Hey now. Don't be scared, you're okay. I promise. We absolutely love nekos. We used to have one, but she was wandering off one day and a group of kids beat her til she was weak and could no longer take the pain. That's when she passed."

You had a sad look on your face. You wanted to nuzzle up to him but weren't sure if they were like your other owner. One of the men tried to pick you up but you refused and hissed.

"Relax, you're okay. You're alright, you're safe with us. We promise. What's your name?"

"Y-Y/N.."

"You're adorable, Y/N."

You fake smiled.

"If you ever need us, call on us. My name is Eren and that's Levi."

"I told you, you sleep on the couch. Now, get going."

You immediately rushed to the couch, your ears were down and your tail was wagging in a sad way.

"Levi, that was a little harsh, don't you think?"

'No, be rough or they'll never learn their place."

As you were laying on the couch, soft warm tears streamed down your cheeks from your emerald green eyes. You weren't whinpering or anything, the tears were just falling. You stayed quiet so they wouldn't hear you.

You eventually cried yourself to sleep. Later when it was about 12:00 am, both Eren and Levi went to check on you and saw that you were asleep.

"They're adorable when they're asleep."

"Yeah... They are.."

Eren leaned on Levis shoulder.

"You alright?"

"I miss Mikasa.."

"Come here."

Levi pulled him in for a hug. He cried in his chest.

"I know it was a few years ago, but I can't stop thinking about it... She crosses my mind every time I see a neko. Which is rare, but whenever a neko is mentioned..."

"I know.."

You woke up to the sounds of Eren crying and tried to go back to sleep. Again, you wanted to help but at the same time, didn't know if you could trust them.
