Warm gusts of wind pleasantly teased the blond-haired boy's skin. The rays of the sun breaking through the single clouds fell on his face, forcing him to squint. Raising his hand, he brought it closer to his face hiding from the strong light. Changing his position would have made things a lot easier, but mentally it was beyond his reach.
Moving his fingers slightly, he saw the blue sky spread out above him, which after a moment was masked by the sight of a familiar face. Fingertips brushed the skin of his palm, and the sun's merciless rays collided with the living barrier. Hidden in the shadows cast by the figure leaning over him, he intently watched the delicate movement of the neatly braided hair. He felt like grabbing it in his fingers and pulling it, so that the centimeters separating them finally approached zero.
- I'm starting to worry about your health - Mikey began, without taking his eyes off him. - We've been ignoring basic needs for days. I'll be fine, but I'm not sure about you.
- What needs you mean?
Mikey moved his head, rubbing his cheek against the soft material of Ken-chin's shirt, and looking back at him, smiled as he heard a unmistakable sound confirming his concerns.
- Your stomach demands food, Ken-chin.
- Maybe it's rebelling against your weight?
Mikey's cheeks puffed up. Decide to got up, but then strong arms stopped him from escaping and placed him back on his owner's (un)satisfied belly.
- The break isn't over yet - Ken-chin reminded, brushing single strands of hair away from Mikey's face.
Before the flustered mind had time to construct a response adequate to the situation, Mikey felt a gentle brush on his lips.
- For the past few days, my body's priorities are constantly changing - Ken-chin confessed, looking at him from behind slightly squinted eyelids.
- I can't satisfy them all - Mikey noted quietly.
The nature of Ken-chin's gaze took away Mikey's ease and confidence. He felt defenseless and completely vulnerable to his every word.
- I'd argue - Ken-chin said, gradually closing the distance between them.
The increasingly distinct taste and touch seemed to dispel any illusion that anything could stop them. That there is something more absorbing, more important than closeness, which with each of their synchronized breaths reached another, higher level.
Running his fingers through Mikey's soft hair, Ken-chin moved and when he felt the clear weight of Mikey's body, far from satisfied pressed him even closer to himself.
A quiet moan escaped Mikey's throat, only to be silenced at the same moment by the pressing lips of the boy lying just below him. The deepening kiss slowly led them to a still unknown zone.
Unknown for many reasons.
- Mikey - heard his quiet voice as the line turned out to be closer than ever before.
Raising his eyelids slightly, he saw shining black eyes staring at him. The awareness of the touch of Ken-chin's hands on his skin made him forget for a brief moment how to breathe. Fingertips traced invisible marks on his back, slowly trailing along his spine.
- We should go back - Ken-chin said without withdrawing his hands.
The top of the school building, the vast roof they climbed to during every long break, became a shelter for them. It created the perfect conditions to feel each other, to prove that the events of a few days ago really happened.
- ...In this state? - Mikey asked doubtfully, regaining control of his breathing.
Staring at each other in silence, they independently fought the temptation to go further than that.
