Aurora shut her car door as she stepped out in Ximena's driveway, holding her housewarming gift. The sun shined brightly onto the beautiful luxury home in front of her that she ogled behind her sunglasses. Her eyes took in the towering palm trees lining the walkway to the front door and the freshly cut grass on either side of her. She was in awe at the outside of the house. It was beautiful.

Her finger pressed the doorbell, not even having to wait as the door swung open with Ximena's beaming smile behind it.

"Hey, Ro! Come in." Ximena smiled at her friend. They both hugged before Ximena took the bag from her hand and shut the door behind them.

"Mena, this house is absolutely beautiful. This what that NFL money look like?" she whispered, nudging her friend.

"Travis is so picky. He gave our realtor the hardest time about every single thing. We found this house and he didn't have any complaints. I was so shocked." she answered, walking through the house.

Aurora couldn't stop herself from staring at the decor of the house, appreciating how modern it looked. You couldn't find a dust particle anywhere even if you tried and the smell of a good clean house invaded her nostrils. They walked out to the back patio to which Aurora let out a laugh in disbelief.

"Ximena, you are living the life."

"Girl, don't I know it

"Girl, don't I know it. I'm in love with everything." Mena sighed happily.

Aurora and Ximena both sat at the glass table and looked out in the backyard. She could see a shirtless Travis laying out on the pool chair with Aubrey laying on his stomach.

"Avery like it?" she asked, crossing her legs and leaning forward.

"She doesn't like the swing set. After Travis got it set up, she's probably used it twice. We're trying to figure out what else we could put out back here for her." she said.

"Has she been okay since the fight?" Aurora glanced over to her friend who slightly dropped her shoulders.

"She's been quiet. She's been latching onto her dad more but I understand it. I just miss having her attention." she sighed, looking out to her daughter.

Three days ago, Ximena and Travis got into a very loud argument in the home about his absence. Ximena felt that Travis was leaving her to handle everything related to the house and renovation alone. Travis had been frequently visiting Raymond James Stadium to familiarize himself with his new teammates and facility. He had been away from the house more than he'd been in it.

The argument started at the dinner table and it continued upstairs while getting ready for bed. Avery had been attached to her mother's hip the entire time but as she got louder, she fussed to get away from her and into her dad's arms. It broke Ximena's heart to see her child actively fight to get away from her. Travis and Ximena both ended the argument after that and had been barely talking since. Arguing in front of their child was something that they hated she saw. They made it their mission to not ever do it again.
