i stand alone in the dark once more,, how did i get here?? alone?? how did i get in this position?? i just stood there,, in the darkness of my bedroom so dead inside,, i room with leon,, were really close but he has his own baggage,, i have mine.. i never let him in despite him letting me in.

knock,, knock,, knock

i continue to stand there,, all alone,, quiet,, feeling so dead,, leon opens the door that portals into the room. "hey y/n! are you.. are you okay?" he asks

"yeah everythings fine!!" i smile a fake smile,, i sigh under the smile knowing im lying.. "how could i lie to my own best friend?" i thought to myself

he walks up to me and grabs my hand,, i look up to him. he has a soft yet caring look on his face.. a look i havent seen since raccoon city.

"y/n.. i care for you a lot, yknow that right? i want you to be able to talk to me instead of being alone like this.. it pains me seeing you feel so dead, even if youre smiling. i wanna be there for you,, so please.. tell me whats wrong. i love you a lot" he whispered

i'm taken aback by that last sentence,, he loves me? shocker.. um.. how do i explain my own issues??

i sigh and i explain to him my own issues and my baggage,, he listens,, he looks at me with a soft gaze knowing hes here mentally for me like i am for him. he pulls me into a hug as i cry silently

"things will always be hard,, but thats just life,, i cant promise peace or happiness... but i promise you itll come to you another way, shape, or form,, ill do anything in my power just to see you smile. you deserve absolutely everything,, and im glad youre still standing here with me." he whispers
