Obsession

The sound of screams filled Prison Island, as the was being under attacked.

The former princess had jumped into action, with her cyan bracelets turning into blades as she single handily takes down the attackers.

"Badniks! How the hell did they find us!" She growled, as she pulled her fist out of the leaking chest of one the badniks.

Tails grunted as he was flying with his twin tails, blasting away at the robots with his arm blasters...he knew this day would come...they really couldn't stay hidden for long, not from the likes of Eggman, nor that entity. An explosion caused the fox to flinch and turn around to Knuckles had punched an upgraded version of those Buzzbots.

"AHHH!?!"

"AMY!?!" The group yelled as they both hurried down the many corridors, seeing some of the skilled freedom fighters defending those who were taking refuge in the prison.

Silver was doing his best with trying to protect Amy, but without his powers he was kind of useless...to some degree mostly because he didn't have the same abilities that Sonic and Shadow have.

Most of the robots that the fighters had faced, had major upgrades to them...making them stronger and faster than what they were before.

As the robot stepped closer, it was suddenly blasted from behind by Bunni.

"Ya'll alright?" She asked as she adjusted her hat.

Amy sniffs as she quickly nodded, this was kind of emotional for her...mostly do to the trauma that she went through when it came to her husband, but she had to help out...she wasn't a freedom fighter for nothing. Before another robot could sneak up on Silver, Amy swung her, new and approve Piko Piko Hammer, that doubled as an axe and hammer with a press of a button.

"Few...Thanks Amy" Silver said as he stepped back so that he wasn't in the middle of the fight.

"Silver, Hun...do me a favor and go check on the kids" Bunni stated as she blasted another robot.

The albino hedgehog nodded as he ran off in a different direction.

It wasn't really a hard fight, since the freedom fighters had fought Eggmans robots hundreds of times before, it was only when the entity had attacked was when they were really in a tough situation, with him taking the form of Sonic...most of the fighters always hesitate to hurt the entity.

The same went with Infinite and the Phantom Ruby.

The group of fighters just swarmed by these robots, to the point that their backs were up against the walls...or rather the chamber that held Shadow's unconscious body.

"There's to many of them!" Tails shouted as he kicks robot off of his robotic leg.

"I...I never thought...we all go down like this..." Amy admits as her ears pinned to her skull, his eyes catching a glimpse of her husband's unconscious corpse, as much as she didn't want to leave her five year old daughter behind, at least she would be able to reunite with her husband.

The pink hedgehog lets out yelp as she was suddenly scratched in the face by a robot causing some blood drip onto the floor.

"Amy!" Tails called out, but he couldn't really help the hedgehog not when he was blasting away with his arm blaster.

Amy had some tears in her eyes as saw the blood dripping from her face, before she could attack, a sudden loud crash as if glass was breaking causing the group to flinch at the sudden glass.

"Stay. The. Fuck. Away. From HER."

"S-Shadow..." Amy called out, as she was struggling to see mostly cause of the blood that was running down from her new wound.

The robot was already down, but the black hedgehog's crimson eyes saw all the robots that were surrounding the group, before he looked down at his wrists and ankles, the inhibitor rings were gone...this was perfect. But he would be risking everyone's lives including his own daughter if he did that.

"Enough!"

The robots backed away from the group. To much confusion from the fighters.

"Shadow!" Amy cried out as she wrapped her arms around the male, who only returned the the gesture.

"L-Let me go!!" Juliet growled as she tried to free herself from the grasp of the robot who was holding her.

"Juliet!" Knuckles and Rouge called out, only in which caused the echidna to growl. "Eggman!! You better show yourself!!"

With a press of a button, red pixels emerge taking for into a familiar Eggmoble. Ten years and nothing much had really changed about this egg-shaped human, besides the gray hair in his mustache.

Knuckles gets ready to attack.

"Oh I wouldn't do that if I were you" Eggman said as he pressed a button, on his eggmoble.

"Hey!! Put me down!? You big meanie!!" Sonia growled as she was kicking at the robot only to miss her kicks. Manik was punching at the robot to not much luck.

Maria was trying pull herself out of the robots grip.

Knuckles growled as he stepped back.

"What do you want!!" Sally shouted.

"Isn't obvious...The King, wants this group eased!" Eggman stated as he sat back in the vehicle.

"Yeah that's never gonna happen! Cause we will get Sonic back!" Tails snapped back.

"Oh...you think I'm gonna do it..." Eggman had the robots thrown the kids into a container for safe keeping, or for now at least.

"I want you to surrender" Eggman said. "And if not" he dangles the chamber over the ocean, threatening the fighters that he would dropped the chamber into the ocean to sink to the bottom.

The kids looked in terror, as they had tears in there eyes, not that they didn't before...despite them acting tough.

"Wouldn't!" Knuckles snapped.

"Okay!"

The group turned to the Princess, sure semi-cared about Sonic, but it came to her kids she wasn't gonna let anything happen to them. "Please...don't hurt them..." she admits.

"Sallygirl, you can't be serious!" Bunni called out.

"HE has our kids! What choice to we have!" Sally protested.

Bunni only looked at the sobbing kids who definitely were to young nor were able to protect themselves, well except for Maria...but even though she couldn't control her abilities. He only lets out a small sigh.

The egg shaped man only had a smile form on his face.
