1- IN THE MALIB CITY

Start from the beginning

"Hey, Wake up! The boss is coming!" he said, accompanied by kicking her legs as he said his order. He didn't know that this woman was on alert, even though she felt pain all over her body.

When she heard footsteps approaching, the very weak girl gritted her teeth and raised her head, revealing a face covered in blood. It was a disfigured face, the skin on the face was torn by the blades, and it seemed a terrible sight to behold.

"Who are you? Why do you want to harm me?"

The girl's voice was barely audible, a whisper that escaped her throat. As she focused her attention on the face of the person standing in front of her. Concealing a delicate gauze veil and the beautiful form of a gorgeous lady, she fought her vision darkening due to the massive loss of blood passing through her eyes.

The veiled woman wore a red dress with tassels of the same color hanging softly from the hip, swishing elegantly in time with the lady's gentle steps. The lady's movements came to a halt in front of the girl, who was being held down and forced to kneel on the ground. This lady glared down at the disfigured young girl; her beautiful eyes curved into two crescents as she smiled and said,

"I am Felisa Adonis, the Eldest Young Daughter of the Adonis Defense Mansion, daughter of the formidable General Felix Adonis, the future inheritor of the Adonis Family, and the fiancée of the proud son of the fairy hills in Malib City, the third great son of the king, Prince Mario Marasigan."

The girl who is currently on the ground opened her eyes wide in amazement as she heard a familiar voice and heard the words of the lady in front of her.

"You! Who are you really?" The girl asked in a loud voice now.

"Hahaha ha." The lady laughed out loud; it seems like she was crazy. The girl thought for a while, then said,

"But I am Felisa Adonis! I am the true Felisa Adonis!" Her trembling body trembled as a notion developed in her thoughts, and her eyes filled with astonishment.

The bright veil that covered it slowly slipped away as thin fingers gently tugged. The growth of the young woman's eyes depicts a face of unmatched beauty with delicate features. The girl was surprised when she saw the familiar expression in front of her. As she looked at the shocking and horrifying face of the woman kneeling on the ground, he barely lifted his beautiful face.

"Felisa Adonis, from today onwards, I will be taking over your identity," The lady said, her voice filled with boundless eagerness and nearly uncontrollable joy.

"Your standing, and, of course, everything you possess completely," the lady added.

"As for you..." The lady hesitated for a while before laughing again in a soft voice. Then she asked,

"As brilliant as you are, why don't you predict what will happen to you?"

Felisa Adonis paused for a brief period after hearing the person in front of her use her natural voice to talk, then cried.

"Ro, Rowena Sagi? Rowena Sagi, you are!"

Rowena Sagi had grown up with Felisa Adonis as an orphan. She had taken her from the streets and brought her to the Adonis Defense Mansion, where she had kept the tiny orphan girl as a friend. The small girl had become a close friend with whom she could chat about everything, and someone she had observed to be as close as a sister. So, she had no idea that the person who had damaged her and tried to take her identity would turn out to be Rowena Sagi.

"Why? I treated you so well; why are you doing this?"

The betrayal cut at her heart. A searing fury began to pound within her heart as she considered how her face had been mutilated, how her identity was soon to be taken, and how they would all be unknown to anyone.

"Why? Huh? Of course, it's for everything that you possess: a grandfather and father that dotes on and spoils you, a proud son of fairy hills that loves you to bits, and...

Her crescent-smiled eyes looked at Felisa Adonis on the ground.

"All this will soon belong to me. The indulgent pampering of a grandfather and father, the deep love and gentleness of the son of Datu Brother Mario, will all be mine."

As she gazed down at the anguished and wretched-looking Felisa Adonis on the ground, she was filled with delight.

"By right, I should kill you here to prevent any future nightmares and completely erase all traces of your body so that nobody will ever find you, but, ha ha ha..." The viciousness in her laughter rocked Felisa Adonis visibly, and the demonic laugh resounded.

"Do you know why I asked them to only specifically destroy your devastatingly good looks and not harm the smooth and fair skin on your body?" She bent down slightly and observed Felisa Adonis face before continuing.

"I am going to kill you at this place; here is the quietest place at all times, and I believe your nightmare will remain here."

"You don't need to look at me like that. Your beautiful face has already been destroyed. Even if you tell the plants and animals here that you are the youngest daughter of Adonis Defense Mansion, nobody will believe a word of it and will only call you a lunatic." She laughed as she shoved a pill into Felisa Adonis mouth.

"Plan to escape? Good for you because even your power as a mere second-grade warrior wouldn't measure up to anything there; you only have seven days if you survive; the poison I just gave you will kill you."

"Rowena Sagi! Even as a ghost, I will never let you off!" shrieked Felisa Adonis, gritting her teeth.

"Ha, you can't deal with me as a human; you'll be even more helpless as a ghost!"

Rowena Sagi chuckled chillingly, ordering the men to bring her away.

"I will come to you as a ghost. That time, I will make sure you will be the one to suffer, but if the goddess is determined to give me a second chance at life, you will pay for this!" Felisa says. But Rowena Sagi ignored it.

"Make sure that she's dead and leave no trace; it's best if you buried her somewhere in a cave, so that no one will notice or find her body."

"Yes!" the two hefty guys said politely before delivering a chop to Felisa's back. They carried Felisa over their shoulders and looked for the cave to bury Felisa Adonis alive in the wildest forest.

A middle-aged man clad entirely in black had been standing behind Rowena Sagi all this time and had now taken a step forward.

"Madam Rowena, it's getting late; are you going back to the mansion now?"

"Yes, I should be returning," she replied quietly, smiling gently as she glanced up into the sky.

"From now on, I am Felisa Adonis, not Rowena Sagi; call me that name."

"Noted Madam Ro, I mean, Madam Felisa Adonis, your wish is my command," the man immediately corrected himself. Then the two vanish from the forest.
