"Nonsense, dear. Come this way, I just made tea." The woman smiled as she helped the pair off the floor. "That must have been some family spat if it has you shaken up like this."

Wednesday wiggled her way down to stand next to her caregiver. Looking up at the woman, she gave a watery smile.

"Aren't you just the cutest thing?" She reached a hand into her pocket and pulled out a lollipop. "Is it okay to give her sweets?"

"Go right ahead," Larissa told the woman as Wednesday took it.

"Thank you!" Wednesday brightened up quickly forgetting about what happened, "Open?"

Making their way to the back room, Larissa sat down on the break room sofa as Wednesday sat on her lap with the loli in her mouth. The older woman walked into the kitchen area, winking at Wednesday on the way and making her giggle. Grabbing her phone from her back pocket, Weems didn't hesitate to call Marilyn. It only rang twice before the redhead picked up.

"Hey, Mary. Thanks for the warning, I really appreciate it. I guess Morticia just felt the need to come into the same shop as us though..."

She sighed. As she listened to Marilyn's response, she heard a sob from her lap. Looking down, she saw that her daughter was crying with her mouth wide open, the lollipop laying in her lap and a trail of drool going down her chin.

"Oh, sweetheart." She held the phone up to her ear. "I'm sorry, I'm going to have to call you back, Wednesday's not too happy right now."

After hanging up, she repositioned her little in her lap so Wednesday was sitting on her thighs, pressed against her chest.

"Does she need to feed?" The woman asked as she came back in with a small tray and two cups of tea. "I can give you privacy if you would like."

"Oh, it's alright. It must be your break time and I don't want to interrupt." Larissa told the old lady who sat down in the seat next to her. Wednesday pawed at the shapeshifter blouse, getting blue drool on the white shirt. "Wednesday, shh. It's okay, baby. We can get you milk in a bit."

Wednesday hiccuped, rubbing her palm against her eye.

"Thank you for the hospitality, Ma'am." Larissa said to the clerk as she adjusted Wednesday to lay against her chest. "If it isn't a bother, I'm just going to get this one home."

"No 'Nid?" Wednesday mumbled into Larissa's shoulder. Strapping her in, she pushed her out the door.

The old woman waved them goodbye as she turned on the television.

"Do you still want to see her?" Larissa asked as she pushed the stroller down the sidewalk. Wednesday nodded, her eyes red from crying still. "Okay, how about we meet them in the cafe."

Calling Mary on her phone, she asked if the pair was still at the restaurant. When she got a yes, she turned them around and walked in that direction.

Wednesday was fairly quiet the whole way, with only a few whimpers and whines of wanting to be held.

"Okay, up you come."

The caregiver unbuckled her little, scooping her up and into her arms. She parked the stroller outside the doors, pushing them open with her foot. Weems spotted Marilyn and Enid in one of the corner booths, hurrying over to them and sliding in next to the teacher.

"Hi, Wednesday," Marilyn cooed, clucking her tongue when the girl whimpered and pushed her face into Larissa's chest. "How's she doing?"

"She's okay. Shaken up. I could ask you the same thing..."
