"Mama, where are you going?"

Wednesday whined, holding onto her caregivers arm as the older woman put her boots on. "Marilyn's ill, so I've got to substitute for her. It's only an hour, don't worry." She cupped the littles cheek. "Enid will come over and watch you, she should be here in a couple of minutes."

"Don't we hire people to substitute?"

"Well...yes, but this was very last minute."

Larissa didn't feel like explaining to Wednesday how her botanical sciences teacher had somehow managed to get her hand stuck in a mason jar, only a few minutes prior to their conversation.

"Oh." Wednesday shuffled her foot sideways. "Can I go with you?"

"No, unfortunately. I'll be with the older teens today, so I can't have you in the class." Larissa shrugged on her coat. "I'll be back before you know it."

Hugging Wednesday, the tall woman opened the door just as Enid was about to knock.

"Uh- Good morning!" Enid smiled wide, fangs on display. "My mom told me to come over to watch Wednesday for a class period?"

"Yes, I can't thank you enough."

Enid shrugged.

"I mean, it was my mom who got her hand stuck in the mason jar..."

"Mason jar?"

Wednesday cut in. Weems glanced at the clock behind her.

"Oh, look at the time! Got to go!"

Giving Wednesday a quick kiss on the cheek, she dashed away before either of the girls could say anything. Shrugging her shoulders, Enid raised an eyebrow.

"Okayyy. Anyway. What should we do today?"

"Oh we can play with the legos!" Wednesday rushed to her playroom, Enid following behind her with a smile.

Walking into the room, the first thing she witnessed was Wednesday dumping the huge tub of the colourful plastic bricks. Enid laughed along with her as she pushed them around. And like the psychopath she knew the goth was, watched in horror as Wednesday jumped on top of the pile.

"Oh my gosh, don't do that-" Enid stepped forward to stop her but there was one stray lego that splashed outside the large pile in her path, "Ouch you fucking cunt-"

Wednesday gasped in surprise, "That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!" She tilted her head, "What does cunt mean?"

Enid was sitting on the floor nursing her injured foot. Tears welling in her eyes. Wednesday's smile dropped, as she crawled over to the blonde.

"Do you want me to get my mama? I'm sure she's close by."

Enid shook her head, "N-No, she's busy." She took a deep breath, willing the pain to go away. "What should we build?"

Wednesday's grin immediately returned. "A castle!"

She started gathering up the bricks she would need, instructing Enid to find black and grey ones. Glancing at her friend to make sure she wasn't watching, Wednesday slyly stuck a 2x2 brick in her mouth. It turned out to be a great source of oral stimulation, as she chewed on it. But the satisfaction slowly dissipated, so she stuck another in. And another.

"What are you eating?"

By this time, Wednesday's cheeks were bulging.

"Nuffing!"

A red 1x1 brick fell from her mouth as she tried to talk, making Enid's eyes bulge.

"Omg! Hasn't Weems set some kind of rules about putting things in your mouth?"
