Sakura's POV

I woke up.

Same bed, same empty and lifeless house.

The same lonely life I have.

Well, what else would I expect? This is me. This is the tale of Sakura Haruno and her oh-so boring life. I'm sure that if I wrote my life story as a novel, bookstores would ban it for being so useless and horrible. I mean, who on earth would care to read the story of a girl whose still bitter about a break up that happened 3 years ago?

I glanced at the calendar.

"Exactly 3 years ago."

Sighing, I got out of my bed and went straight to the bathroom. It's a Monday, so I still need to prepare for school.

Ino will be here in a few minutes. She promised to give me a ride this morning.

*

"SAKURA HARUNO, WHY ARE YOU LATE?!"

I froze in my tracks when I heard Kurenai-sensei's angry voice. I gave her one of my innocent smiles and opened my mouth to explain myself when she suddenly raised a hand and beat me to it,

"Detention. Now, go to your seat."

"Y-Yes, sensei." I murmured and scurried to the back of the class, still catching my breathe from the exhaustion.

Once our History teacher turned her back to write something on the board, I scanned the room for my bestfriend.

Seriously! I was late because she didn't show up earlier! What the heck?

I ignored my other classmates' comments of how stupid I looked when I barged int the room in the middle of the class. Suddenly, I spotted Ino talking to Hinata-chan.

I waved my hand at their direction but she just shot me a look. Hinata, on the other hand, looked away from me. My brows furrowed. And it was only then did I realized I was the only person sitting at the back rows. It seems like everybody agreed to stay away from me like I have some communicable disease or something!

I can't believe this!

What's going on?!

*

When it was lunch break, I approached Ino before she could even exit the room.

"Ino!"

But she didn't even spare ma a glance, so I had to grab one of her arms and made her face me.

"Ino, tell me what's the matter? First, you didn't pick me up this morning, and then you and Hinata started acting weird! Did I do something wrong?"

The blonde Yamanaka pulled her arm away and glared at me, "Get away, you slut! I can't believe you, Sakura.. you should be ashamed of yourself."

My jaw dropped at what I heard but before I could even confront her about it, she walked away. Leaving me confused and dumbfounded.

What is this all about?!

*

I sat in my usual area at the cafeteria. Students are still staring at me like I'm some criminal while the others avoided me. I don't even feel welcome here anymore!

"Sakura-chan,"

I looked up only to see Naruto with a sad smile on his face as he greeted me, he sat on the chair across of me.

"Naruto, tell me.. what's going on? Why are they like this to me?"

He scratched the back of his head and sighed.

"Your ex..."

"Kiba."

"Yeah. He's been, kinda spreading rumors about you being a...slut."

My eyes widened at what he said. What the heck?! I abruptly stood up, but my blonde companion held my hand to prevent me from making anymore issues.

"Sakura, calm down.."

I sat back down again and felt the corner of my eyes heat up again. Why would Kiba do such a thing? Yes, we weren't that long and surely it's taking more time for me to move on from him then necessary, but it's been three years! Why is he hurting me again?

"How can I calm down when my ex is acting like some story-teller, Naruto? He knows I'm not fully over him yet and it's been a just a couple of months since my parents died, but what?! This is what he's putting me through? That son of a bitch!"

Naruto sighed and looked at me with sympathy.

"Yeah.. the truth is, even I don't know what's happening to him. He barely comes to school nowadays. Anyway, I know you're not like that Sakura-chan. I know you more than anyone, believe it."

I frowned. "Tsk. And my bestfriend Ino didn't. What a bestie she is."

"Hey, cheer up! Umm.. you're a strong girl, I know you can go through this."

I forced a smile. "Thanks. Thank you for always being there for me, Naruto..I don't know what to do without you."

And by that, the blonde Uzumaki nervously told me, "A-Ah, well.. the thing is... I'm going out of town for a few days, Saku-chan. My family has this business trip with the Uchiha Corp and..."

"And you're leaving me alone?"

"Huh? N-No! It's not like that!"

I deadpanned. "Well, it is for me."

Silence fell between us. And not too long, Naruto spoke up again, "Do you want me to give you a ride home?" But I coldly shook my head and stood up with my tray,

"Nah. I have detention after class. It was nice talking to you."

And with anything else said, I walked away.

Can't my life get any worse?
