Chapter 19 - Plan

Start from the beginning

I slowly turned around, taking his hands in mine.

"No, I'm not... I can't let you do that. I can't let you put so much on the line for me. And there is no point in trying to convince me." I said with a serious face but he just smiled softly.

"Can we at least talk about it, please? Let's go back to the dorm. We will figure this out." He reassured me before we started walking back to the dorm silently.

Going inside, the others were waiting for us.

"Okay... so, what do we do?" Jake asked, lost in his thoughts.

"Well, if that's the case, I should be the one going in the principal's office and get the footage. This is all for me after all. I should take responsibility for it."

"No. That's not a good idea either. The principal is watching you too." Jay Hyung pointed out.

"But then what do we do?" Heeseung Hyung asked but no one knew.

So we just decided to sleep on it and wait for the next day, hoping to find a better solution.

The others left and me and my roommate were once again alone.

There had to be a better way to get that video without any of us having to break into the principal's office.

Even after hours of thinking, I still had no clue. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

I decided to get ready for bed, trying to get my mind off of everything.

I looked at Niki who also hasn't said a thing since our friends left. He was now on his phone, probably also trying to distract himself for a while.

I was about to go to sleep when Niki abruptly stood up from his bed, making me also get up, curiously.

"I think I found someone that can help us. And it's the best way to get the footage without putting any of us in danger." I raised an eyebrow.

"Who?"

"I know a guy that can get it for us without looking suspicious. He is a senior from class A. The principal trusts him because he has good grades and is not problematic at all, in her eyes. So, he can just lie and say that he needs to check the cameras because he lost something. He is also the class president so the principal will trust him enough to leave him at it without another question." He explained once again with a proud smile.

"And why exactly would he do that though? How do we know that he won't snitch?" I tried to reason.

"Don't worry about that. He won't do such thing. He owes me one." I gave him another confused look so he continued; "In the first week of me being here in Korea, before I knew anyone, I saw him getting beaten up by some drunk men. At first, I didn't pay any attention to it and I was ready to walk away. I didn't want to be involved when I didn't even know the guy. But I saw him coughing blood and the other still not stopping. The injured guy saw me and I could see him pleading with his eyes. I couldn't just walk away. And so I helped him. Thankfully, fighting was new to me, even though it wasn't easy to make the other asshole back up. After he finally ran off, I got the guy to the hospital and he got treatment. Before I walked away, he told me to contact him if I ever need help. We haven't talked since but I feel like this is the right moment for him to repay me."

"That's... wow." I hated the fact that he always got misjudged because of the fact that he fights. Even though I still think fighting is wrong, I know that he doesn't do it to people that don't deserve it. "Fine... I guess it's worth a try..." I hesitated saying.

I was frightened, in all honesty. I've been held captive by my parents my whole life and it just felt impossible to leave. Even with Niki and the others by my side, I still didn't know if I was making the right decision.
