Little excursion, big mistake

Tiffany smiles " Morning miss stone , I'm making pancakes " she smiled still in Damian's hold.
"Damn, Damian you've got a good one , don't mess anything up you hear me?" She walked over sniffing the pancakes. "Yum" she said looking hungry.

I love how chill she is with us like she's an elder sister looking after us. Only in reality she's a badass detective.

Oh yh, the cologne!

"Detective Stone, can I talk to you about something?" I asked in a low voice as I walked beside her.

"Alright" she said a s we walked do the corner of the kitchen.

" When I woke up this morning, I smelt an unfamiliar cologne in my room and I suspect that maybe whoever is after us had tried to get in or something like that, cuz how else do you explain the smell?" I rambled hoping I didn't lose her somewhere in my explanation.

"It's alright miss Martins, I'm aware of this " she smiled almost as if she knew what was actually going on. "Don't worry yourself, its a false alarm, it was just a new perfume I  sprayed in there" she explained.

"Oh?, Alright then " I said relieved but why would she spray perfume in our dorm room? And when?
I didn't want to bother myself with the question and just trust her.

We came back to the center of the merged kitchen and dining room, she walked beside Nicholas and nudged his shoulder.
Wonder what that's about...

We had finished our meal and I had finally taken a bath ( finally!)
And the next thing we knew was Alyssa dragging us of the dorm" it's shopping time girls!" She beamed.

"Already?! Oh jeez!" I whined. " Well, guess it's now or never hehe" Tiffany seeming fine with all this.

We waved the boys goodbye as they played basketball on the basketball court that came with area we had. Nicholas dunking a shot before waving my way. He made me smile knowing he was finally being more open with the rest of us.

We had headed for a mall that Alyssa knew about.
When we actually finally arrived, I was already getting sort of self conscious about the environment and wanted to just get this over with.

We got into the mall and went our separate ways, looking for what would make our first impressions memorable.
After a few minutes of searching, I stumbled across a beautiful black dress.

It had a V neck opening a little bit above the cleavage area and then a turtle neck above that. The waist area was elastic and the gown part was flowy with the front above my knees and the back reaching my heels. It had black roses at the hem of the gown with faint sparkles.

It definitely looked beautiful and the cost was reasonable. I decided this was the one.

Tiffany and Alyssa had already come my way saying they had found the perfect dresses.

" I really like mine, I think Damian will like it too" she smiled blushing.
" Mine is drop dead gorgeous yours better be worth coming to look at Martins" Alyssa smirked.

"Oh knock it off Alyssa" Tiffany started " I'm sure hers is 'drop dead gorgeous ' as well" she laughed.

"Let's see it Angie" Tiffany smiled .

"Alrighty" I smiled determined to wow them. I went to the changing room and I finally wore it and came out.

When they saw the dress, Tiffany did a comical jaw drop .
Alyssa's eyes widened but she more or less remained where she was.

" Angie, that... Looks ... amazing!!" Tiffany screamed.
" I guess you do know how to wear clothes, this isn't over Martins" she smiled at me.

I felt proud of myself
